Meanwhile, Luna lay on the floor looking like a long-suffering older sibling in a family sitcom. She let out the heaviest sigh you’ve ever heard from a Collie. Her eyes screamed, “I stubbed my paw last week and no one made me a burrito.”

At one point, Layla whimpered the smallest whimper—barely a sound—and Samantha was there like a nurse on high alert. “Oh baby, I’ll get you anything you need, just say the word.”

Luna side-eyed so hard I swear the couch tilted, and Layla couldn’t believe how her sis was playing it up for the extra attention.  But still, she stayed in the room. Because even if her sister was being just a bit extra, Luna knew love when she saw it. And in the end, that’s what this house runs on—Snacks, side-eyes, sacred blankets, and a whole lot of compassion for one sore knee and a dog who knew how to milk it.

The four kittens, who, sadly, had their precious slumber interrupted, had managed to get themselves into a compartment on the man’s boat. From how they reacted to being found, they had no plans of leaving their spot either. They looked surprised, but not enough to try to get up and exit their makeshift, temporary home.

The kittens weren’t the only ones taken aback by their discovery on the boat. The fisherman reacted with much surprise as well.

They’re not just our pets; they’re family. They join in on all our little moments, even when those moments seem small to us. To them, it's the most important thing in the world—being with us, sharing life, and adding their own touch of sweetness to everything we do. It doesn’t matter if it’s a grocery run, long evenings on the porch or cuddling up beside us in bed at night.

What’s even more precious is how they love us so unconditionally. No matter the weather, no matter how messy life might get, they’re always there. Thank God they never judge.  What I love most is that they’re simply thrilled to be a part of our lives. They show us every day that sometimes, the best friends are the ones with fur and paws and wagging tails.

So, next time you find yourself at the park or simply enjoying a quiet moment at home, remember how much joy your dog brings to your life. They're not just dogs—they’re a reminder that love is patient, kind, and always there when you need it most. And Kona? The man playing the saxophone stands on one side of the tunnel. He blows into the instrument as he gets some canine help with his performance. The dog, who was likely out for a walk and was passing by the musician, thought it appropriate to stop and offer its best solo performance momentarily.

Thankfully, the grey cat is tracking and observing the evil claw shadow. Slowly, the large shadow gets closer and closer to the unsuspecting black-and-white cat. But right before the shadowy figure reaches down and snatches the feline, who is not paying attention, the grey cat leaps into action.

The kitty jumps onto the wall, pulling off a move that looks like it’s straight out of the Matrix films. The cat’s gravity-defying and wall-scaling move is successful. The black-and-white cat remains safe, and the evil shadowy figure quickly retreats.

Karaoke is something a lot of people enjoy doing. It’s an activity that everyone can do. Even if you can’t carry a note in a bucket but are still brave enough and willing to try it, karaoke might be for you. Want to earn that degree? We’ve got to be willing to put in the long hours studying and reading the material. Want to finish a marathon successfully? Then, it’s about putting in the time running leading up to the big race. Want to beat your shadow in a hilarious video? Well, that might be a little tough, but it didn’t stop one dog from trying.

A rooster has the funniest (and cutest) reaction to his owner! You know what they say—sometimes, the loudest love shows up with feathers, flapping wings, and a strut that makes you laugh out loud. Meet Jojo. The rooster with a love story that’ll make your heart cluck a little harder and your eyes mist over in the sweetest way.

“Jojo is obsessed with me—like, really obsessed with me,” says Sanaz, his human. “He runs to me and always does a little dance around me.”

And it’s true. Whenever Sanaz calls his name, Jojo comes sprinting across the yard—beak up, tail feathers flying—like he’s starring in his own rom-com set on a farm. The moment he hears her voice, he lights up. Or rather, fluffs up. He doesn’t just come—he twirls. He pirouettes with poultry passion. This little rooster isn’t afraid to shake a tail feather for the one who raised him.

“He really wants to be snuggled and hugged by me,” she says, with a soft laugh that only someone who’s been tenderly pecked awake by love can give. “I guess this is the way that he shows me that he loves me.”

And isn’t that just like the way God wired even the smallest of His creation? To give back love in the form they know best. This is to remind us that affection doesn’t always come in perfect packages—it sometimes arrives with a squawk, a prance, and a peck on the cheek.

However, not everyone was thrilled about Jojo’s displays of affection. Some neighbors didn’t share Sanaz’s enthusiasm for crowing at dawn. So with a heart heavy as a grain sack, she knocked on over 200 doors—yes, two hundred—until she found him a home that could take him in. A place with open space, open hearts, and roosters welcome. But this isn’t a story of goodbye. Because love like this doesn’t just end.

Sanaz still visits Jojo every day. She shows up, and Jojo still runs. They take car rides together—just a woman and her rooster, driving through town like it’s the most normal thing in the world. They stop at the coffee shop, sit side by side, and share pastries. Jojo nibbles delicately while staying right beside his person, content just to be near her.

“He is everything to me, and I’m like a mom to him,” Sanaz says. “I raised him with so much love, and I think this is why Jojo is like this.”

And maybe that’s the whole point. Maybe it’s less about the crowing and the crumbs—and more about how love leaves its mark, feathered and flapping and full of delight. Because the world needs more Jojo love—more joy that dances and more loyalty that follows you into the car and stays for coffee.
