The woman understands that the cat in her house has a fear of her grandson and has used that to her advantage. As the video shows, the woman has placed tiny photos of her grandson in each pot with a plant.

When she turned the corner, she finally spotted why her son was giggling. Her 1-year-old was found on the floor, but he was not injured or upset. Instead, the little guy was lying between his two “doggie brothers.”

But about halfway through the clip, as she continues to feed the animals, someone unexpectedly shows up and disrupts her process. An emu appears about halfway through the video. The child wants nothing to do with the bird.

“Oh, I’m not going that way,” the little girl says after spotting the bird in her way.

She reverses course and goes in the complete opposite direction. Later, the bird returns, and it starts to come toward her, and she makes sure to keep a close eye on it, not letting it come near her.

I cannot blame her at all. I would do whatever I could to avoid those large, ugly birds.

The heart-melting video shows the tiny cub clambering over its mama’s belly, nuzzling her with soft kisses and playful baby bear nibbles. And oh, that moment—when Mama Bear, with all the patience and love in the world, gently pushes back with her giant paw before scooping her little one into the safest place in the Arctic—a big, cozy bear hug.

Wildlife photographer Drew Hamilton, who posted the video on Feb. 4, simply captioned it: Kisses. Moms understand. And isn’t that the truth? Animals are, without a doubt, some of the best creatures you’ll ever encounter on Earth. They are loyal, gentle, dependable to a fault and love unconditionally. A lot of the people you’ll run into aren’t able to do most of those things.

Because of their kind and loving nature, animals often make great companions, especially for lonely people who need a friend. Many hospitals and nursing homes use animals to bring smiles to their patients’ faces. Typically, the animal used to bring about and spread happiness is a dog or a cat, which makes perfect sense given how much those specific animals are around humans.

However, a clip posted on social media shows one nursing facility in Australia used a very different and much bigger animal to bring happiness to residents. The precious video shows Teddy, the horse, gently resting its face on an elderly woman’s shoulder.

It’s clear that if the woman wanted Teddy to stay there for five minutes or five hours, the animal would have been content to do just that. The sweet horse seemed to understand exactly what the woman needed. The kindness, love, compassion and empathy the horse demonstrated in that moment for the elderly woman is touching and moving.

The clip’s description adds that the interaction captured in the 32-second video “brought us to tears.” I’m sure that will do the same to nearly everyone else who views the tender, loving moment between the woman and the horse. How could you not tear up?

Likewise, if something they do brings about a negative response, they will cease doing that.

The dog hysterically steps on a button that acts as the animal’s voice and interpreter, helping to signal the pup’s desires. The voice says, “Can I have a treat, please?” The animal does this repeatedly, much to the delight of its owner. She is heard laughing from behind the camera.

As hilarious as the dog voicing its request for a treat, something else the animal does might be as equally and even more hysterical. Each time after the dog hits the button and receives a treat, it stops and stares at its owner. It’s a look of, “Well, is that it?”

As most cat people understand, a feline’s go-to move when seeking attention is to brush up against you.

A sweet clip posted on YouTube shows a friendly cat, Tuna, who enjoys getting attention from the people who drop off food and other items at her house. The cat’s precious interactions with the individuals were captured on a doorbell camera.

Tuna’s owners narrate the video and explain that the animal wants outside a lot. But it never strays too far away and often stays firmly on the front porch. When those delivering packages arrive, Tuna puts on a show and even has a couple of moves to capture their attention.

According to Tuna’s owners, she will walk in circles, roll over, brush up against the wall and perform something called “the tail helicopter.” All of Tuna’s patented moves must be highly successful; the video shows one delivery driver after another kneeling to pet and interact with the friendly, attention-seeking cat.

Animals are intelligent and resourceful. They know how to get what they want when they want it.

Movies and television constantly portray dogs and cats at odds. Those cute, furry, four-legged creatures seem destined always to be enemies, never able to put aside their differences. On the surface, it makes sense. Dogs, in general, are very outgoing and affectionate, never afraid to show their emotions, especially to the people they love the most. Cats, on the other hand, are much more reserved and cautious with everything they do.

However, as different as cats and dogs are from one another, dogs are always shown to be the aggressors, the ones more likely to exert their power and will. Because of their reserved nature, cats are typically left to react to the dog’s move.

However, a hilarious video posted on social media completely turns the tables on that thinking. The short clip starts with a handful of dogs standing at the top of a flight of stairs. Obviously, they want to walk down the stairs, but something is keeping them from doing so. What could it be?

A few seconds later, the furry roadblock is revealed. A rather upset cat sits in the middle of the stairs and looks up at the canines. The feline’s icy gaze has frozen the five dogs in their tracks. None of them want to walk by the angry cat.

Looking at the upset feline, you can almost hear Gandalf say, “You shall not pass!”

Eventually, the cat relents, giving up its position, and runs down the stairs as the dogs quickly follow.
