A pup’s plan to keep its toys hilariously backfires. The canine did not want to relinquish possession of a handful of items, and so the animal hatched a scheme to keep them, but that did not work out as expected. Getting rid of things can be difficult, especially if they have specific memories attached. Yes, there may even be a few tears shed during that process. However, the simple fact is that we cannot hold onto everything that comes into our possession. No one wants to end up on an episode of “Hoarders,” right?

While purging these items from our households can be challenging and even emotionally draining, it’s necessary. Getting rid of old, unwanted things makes room for the new. Every new beginning is only possible because of some other beginning’s end. Don’t be sad about something because it’s over; be happy because it happened. Or, you know, insert your preferred cliché about endings and beginnings.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a dog was having trouble letting go of its toys. It did not want to see these toys go away. They were special to the animal. So, in an attempt to foil its owner’s plan, the animal hatched a plan to hold onto those treasured items.

The video shows the animal running to the medicine cabinet and grabbing a bottle. While the woman was momentarily distracted, the canine, with the bottle in its paw, rushed over to the mug she was sipping from. Then, the animal started making a concoction that, theoretically, would have made her fall asleep.

However, that did not happen. Instead, the pup, being unable to read, mistakenly spiked her drink with caffeine. The pup’s owner would not be taking a nap anytime soon.

The looks the two dogs exchange are hysterical. They both seem to know they’ve failed, and it's just a matter of time until their precious toys are gone.

Everyone has spent their fair share of time on the playground. Who hasn’t? Weren’t those some fun times? Now, while you may not have visited one since your younger days, which may have been decades in some cases, you are more than familiar with them and can easily name pieces of equipment you’re likely to find on a given playground.

What’s even more likely is that you had a favorite piece of playground equipment. Personally, it didn’t get any better than the swings. Those things could literally take you to new heights as you soared backward and forward as the wind whipped through your hair. While the swings were obviously the best part of the playground, others might have felt differently. Some may have thought the slides offered a better, more fulfilling experience. That is how one pup feels, as it clearly cannot get enough of the slide. A posted clip shows that once the animal slides down and comes to a stop at the bottom of the playground equipment, it literally sprints back to the top.

No matter how much you may have liked the merry-go-round, the swings or the monkey bars, you did not like them nearly as much as this pup loves the slide.

Friends make life a fuller, richer and all-around better experience. No one wants to go through life alone. Even the quietest, most introverted person doesn’t desire an existence like that. How awful and lonely would that be? You wouldn’t wish that on your worst enemy.

Those we call friends are among the first we call when something good happens in our lives. Also, they are there as a shoulder to cry upon whenever something horrible happens. How precious is this? The cat and the goat cannot get enough of one another as they show each other how much they care, continually rubbing their heads together.

Felines can at least appear to be aloof and uncaring, and shy away from showing affection and only do so when they feel like doing so. They are very different from dogs in that way, who are always ready to show how much they care. But that is not the case here, making for a beautiful, heart-melting moment between the two buddies.

It’s impossible to have too many friends. No one will ever reach a point where they can say they have reached their limit with friendships. I mean, someone could theoretically say that, but there isn’t like an actual limit on the number of friendships one can have.  Also, that message isn’t likely to be received well. Can you imagine being on the receiving end of that?

Anyway, animals seem to be able to become friends with just about anyone. That’s one of the many things we all love about those creatures. Show them a little bit of kindness and love, and they’ll be your buddy for life. It doesn’t matter if you’re a human being, a warthog, the cat from across the street, a one-eyed penguin or a temperamental dairy cow; animals can make friends with anyone and anything.

Everyone loves to eat, and most people, from the looks of it, are pretty good at it, too. Americans have such a love affair with food that we shamelessly put our gluttony on full display with food contests. Of course, one of the biggest and most prominent is the annual Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July hot dog-eating contest in New York. When it comes to competitions, I don’t think it can get any grosser.

But seriously, who doesn’t enjoy scarfing down a plate of delicious food, especially when the clock says it’s dinner time? However, when that special time arrives, and food is nowhere to be found, we get a little nervous and anxious. We tend to get a little hangry if things aren’t ready as usual. The hunger pains can even become so bad that we might choose to take things into our own hands.

As it turns out, human beings aren’t the only ones who will act accordingly if dinner does not arrive in the proper and expected timeframe. A clip posted on YouTube shows what two pups did to satisfy their hunger. They gave their owner an opportunity to correct her tardiness, but when they couldn’t wait any longer, they acted decisively.

After she ignored their staring, they swiped her phone, opened up an app and placed a very important order. The two animals even worked out a hilarious way of going about paying for the order while keeping their shenanigans completely undiscovered and undetected until the very last possible moment.

The most hilarious part of the entire clip is when the woman walks into the living room to find the two pups chowing down on a pizza, and one of them looks at her as if to say, “Yes, may I help you?”

Animals are some of the best creatures on Earth. Most are cute and furry, making it nearly impossible to pass them without kneeling down to give them a few friendly belly rubs or pats on the head. Is there anyone who does not like animals? If, for some reason, there are individuals who aren’t too keen on animals, how is that even possible?

Show them a little bit of love and attention and you’ve likely got a friend for life. They will remember your kindness toward them for a long time to come and will more than likely light up every time you come around. Now, typically, when we talk about animals and how wonderful they are, it’s a dog or a cat. It’s actually a pig, and it is large, which is an understatement. But how the large hog responds when it spots a sanitation worker is just too cute to miss.

In the clip posted on social media, the pig takes off on a dead sprint when it spots the truck pulling up. This, the pig knows, means that its buddy is likely to present, and the animal is 100 percent right.

The pig rushes over to the fence, where it is greeted by its pal, who comments, "It’s been a long time, no see since their last encounter."

As every pet owner understands, animals need to be groomed. While it is necessary, that is rarely, if ever, a fun process for the animal or its owner, but it has to be done regardless. No one wants a smelly dog or one with a tangled, matted coat, because that is not an enjoyable situation for anyone. Therefore, the periodic grooming sessions will continue.

Typically, when a dog, and many cats, for that matter, are brushed, hair will accumulate either on the brush or the floor. Of course, every pet owner knows this is normal; brushing is nothing more than a way to pull away loose hairs and keep the animal’s coat clean and healthy.

But what might that look like from the animal’s point of view? Would they freak out and wonder if they may be balding? How would they attempt to correct their perceived hair loss? I don’t think there’s Rogaine for animals, so they would have to look for other solutions. The pup comes across its buddy being brushed and is immediately intrigued. That’s when the dog spots all of its pal’s hair falling to the floor. Surely, this isn’t normal, the dog must be thinking. That’s when the dog comes up with a solution, albeit a very unconventional and impractical one, but a solution, nonetheless.

Not all animals are the same. In fact, anyone who tells you otherwise is absolutely, 100 percent dead wrong, has never actually had a pet or both. Why? Because they clearly have no idea about what they are talking about. Yes, I agree and will concede that some animals look similar to one another. Still, when it comes to personality, likes and dislikes, there are differences, significant ones in some cases.

Pet owners know that one animal may enjoy this while the other may absolutely despise it. What causes one animal to be content and to purr as it enjoys a state of euphoria might be the very thing that causes the other one to growl, bark or lash out angrily. It’s all about getting to know that specific animal and understanding what they like and do not.

For instance, many animals – cats, dogs and others – hate water. It doesn’t matter if it’s them getting a bath or splashed with a few drops; they will shake furiously to rid themselves of the wet substance or just generally react negatively whenever they come into contact with water. However, other animals may love water and be unable to get enough of it. A clip posted on social media captured a pup having the time of its life on a splash pad.

The dog knew exactly what was coming and when. The animal literally leaped for joy, trying to get closer to the water as it rained down on it. Hilariously, the dog would anticipate which bucket would turn over and douse it with water, and most of the time it was correct.

Everyone loves animals, and anyone who does not is, without question, wrong. How could you not love and appreciate those cute, furry and four-legged critters? Even people who would necessarily consider themselves dog or cat people have a soft spot in their hearts for those precious creatures.

Animals can most certainly be difficult at times, especially when it comes to their preferred sleeping spot. It didn’t matter what anyone did; they were getting to the spot one way or another. In some instances, as you’ll see, the pups would literally sit on their owners. At that point, it becomes a war of wills and about who would give up first.

As any pet owner knows, when it comes to lying around the house, sleeping and generally doing nothing, dogs will always remain undefeated. They are professionals at it and are not to be messed with. They will come out every time, and that includes their owners, and as the video also shows, even cats.

Animals, like people, are not the same. Each has its own unique personality, as every pet owner knows very well. Sure, some animals may look similar, but often how they respond to people, situations and environments can be as different as night and day. Anyone who says all dogs or all cats are the same is simply showing their ignorance and their inexperience with animals.

It's been said that dogs are man’s best friend, and in many cases, that has been proven again and again. How many stories have you seen or read where a dog enters a burning building to retrieve someone or something? Or what about articles about a pup who returned home years later? Every time the woman hugs her husband, the dog barks loudly and wildly, even growling, clearly voicing its displeasure.  At one point, the dog goes over and attempts to physically separate the two, placing its head between them. 

Obviously, the dog is quite jealous and does not want her giving attention to anyone but it. While the dog may not mind the man of the house, the animal likely tolerates him. But it’s clear, from that short clip, that the animal prefers her, and it’s not even close.

As pet owners know, animals do seem to pick and gravitate toward one person, and this adorable Golden Retriever is no different.

Competition is good because it brings out the best in everybody. Also, when there’s competition, everybody wins, especially the consumer. Most people likely don’t give them a second thought and accept them as the gospel truth, but are they true?

Every competition results in a winner and a loser. It doesn’t matter if it’s basketball, checkers, racquetball or even an election – someone, or one team, is going to win, and someone else, or another team, is going to lose. Many people tend to take things way too far, willing to do anything to win, even if it means cheating or bending the rules. Also, individuals can be poor winners and even worse losers – and all because they lost a meaningless game or match.

The two pups settle in to play a friendly competition. This is going to be a fun game between two pals, with the eventual winner and loser walking away amicably. They will shake hands and part ways, accepting the outcome of the competition. Sure, that sounds nice, but that is not what happens at all.

During the video game competition, things get heated quickly, with the two pups exchanging some of the most hilarious side-eyes you’ve ever seen. Both are willing to do whatever it takes to win, regardless of how it may damage or impact their friendship.

These pups demand their fair share of cheese. If they do not get a cheesy snack every once in a while, especially when someone else enjoys one, there will be repercussions. And that’s not because I’m lactose intolerant or anything. Ever since I was a child, I’ve never liked cheese and have always avoided it as best as I can. However, I understand I’m in the minority when it comes to how people, and, as it turns out, animals feel about cheese.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a woman helps herself to a snack of string cheese. There’s nothing wrong with that, right? A little snacking here and there never hurt anyone, or could it?

Before she indulges in that cheesy snack, she goes to great lengths to make sure that her pups are unaware of what she is about to do. She did not want them to know she was about to consume some string cheese. 

Despite being extremely careful, it was not enough. The animals found out what she did and how she did not share with them, and they were not pleased. The pups expressed their displeasure in the most hilarious and unexpected way.

This musical pup played the iconic “Mission Impossible” theme song. The canine demonstrated its jaw-dropping talent for the drums by playing a tune that everyone, without a doubt, has heard a time or two. All pet owners love and adore their animals. In fact, when it comes to talking about most people who have pets, it wouldn’t be too far of a stretch to say that they are absolutely obsessed with them. Now, every pet owner believes their furry friend is “special” and “one-of-a-kind.” In our hearts and eyes, they are special and deserve the world, right? While that may be true, I’d be willing to bet that not many of those pets can play a musical instrument. I’d go so far as to say that 99.9 percent of those special animals have been gifted with the ability to play the guitar or sing a single note.

However, we have just encountered a pup who is truly one-of-a-kind, with an ability that likely no other dog can do: play the drums. Yes, you read that correctly, this dog can bang around on the drums, and not only that, but it has also even helped in playing one of the most recognizable and iconic tunes of all time.

In a clip posted on social media, the pup, with a stick in its mouth, pounds a cymbal while its paw operates a pedal, which makes it bang on a drum.  This is such a cute and, at the same time, hysterical display.

If this dog can play the drums, there is no reason why our pets should be sleeping all the time. They could be using some of that time to learn a skill like playing the trombone or the tuba.

Now, while nearly everyone loves animals, the real division happens when dog and cat people get to talking. Both will passionately make the case for why their preferred animal is superior, and the one is just a little inferior when compared to the other. Is one really better than the other? I think we can all agree they are both different, for sure.

One way cats and dogs differ is in the amount of attention each craves. Typically, cats do their own thing and will come around and seek attention when it’s convenient for them. Dogs, on the other hand, want attention constantly, and if you don’t give it to them, they will try their darndest to get it. In a clip posted on YouTube, a woman found out just how badly her Golden Retriever wanted her to pay attention to it.

She wanted to find out what would happen if she deliberately ignored her pup. Hilariously, the dog refused to give up and was determined to get the attention it so badly wanted. The animal was dogged in its efforts.

Eventually, she could only ignore the canine for about a minute and a half.  Anyone who has or has ever had a dog understands that’s longer than expected. As soon as you walk through the door, most pups are jumping and clamoring for your attention.

While some people may overlook them when thinking of the many ways in which their lives have been blessed, animals most certainly belong in that category. Our pets are some of the best friends we’ll ever have in this life. For starters, they are tremendously loyal, always there, whether you’ve had a good day or one you’d rather forget. They do not care who you are as long as you treat them right, and if you do, you’ve got yourself a friend for life. Of course, as everyone knows, all of this is especially true, particularly when you’re talking about dogs. They are, after all, referred to as man’s best friend for a reason.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a woman goes through the top five reasons why she is so grateful to be a “dog parent.” Each of the scenarios the video points out is one that everyone who has ever had a dog understands and has experienced.

As mentioned in the laugh-out-loud clip, when you have a pet, especially a dog, an alarm clock becomes irrelevant. A dog will quickly acclimate to your morning routine and know when you need to be awake. They will even provide their assistance, even if it’s not needed.

Also, they are always ready and willing to do something, anything with you. They don’t care about the activity, as long as they get to do it with you.

Dog owners also know that they make decent vacuum cleaners, willing to suck up any food that happens to land on your floor.

How could you not love dogs?

These pups delivered a convincing and hysterical presentation. They had a message to convey and an argument to make, and decided the best way to accomplish those goals was through the use of PowerPoint. We live in a very polarizing and divisive time. It’s nearly impossible to get people to agree on any subject, no matter how insignificant or meaningless. You could have someone ask people whether dogs with spots are better than dogs with stripes, and 50 people would say “yes” and 50 would say “no.” Then, the situation would quickly dissolve into a shouting match, with people calling one another horrible names.

People can’t even agree on what’s a fact anymore. They all have their own 24-hour “news” channel, which they desperately rely on to tell them what’s a fact and how to think about this or that subject. It’s hard to rationally discuss a topic in that kind of contentious, hostile environment. But there are still people who try, and, as it turns out, even some animals.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a couple of pups believe that baths should be outright banned. They do not like them and no longer want to take them, so they have crafted a presentation to try to sway others to their side and see their point of view.

This is a challenging argument to make, but the dogs are clearly determined to make it. They raised several points during their presentation. However, the validity and relevancy of many of them could easily be called into question. But then again, that goes along perfectly with the current state of discourse in our country.

In the end, the pups do accomplish their goal. Baths are now banned, and they will no longer be subjected to them. They can now live their bathless, and much more smelly lives.

In society today, it seems there is nothing we can agree on. Thanks to social media, we now know that everyone has thoughts and opinions on every subject imaginable. How did we ever survive before we knew our second cousin twice removed’s thoughts on this or that subject?

While agreement on most things is nearly impossible, we can all agree (for the most part) that animals are fantastic. Is there really anyone who does not think animals are some of the greatest things imaginable? If you’re not convinced how much people think of their pets, you simply haven't been watching closely enough. Some people will actually push their animals in a stroller while their child walks.

In a hilarious, laugh-out-loud clip, a French bulldog pup is captured being pampered. Its owner is actually giving the dog a foot rub. A lot of animals are lucky if they get any attention at all, and this guy is getting its feet attended to.

But does the dog show any appreciation for the kind of high-level pampering it’s receiving? If you know animals at all, you already know the answer to that question. Instead of acting grateful, the dog demands even more.

When its owner stops rubbing its feet, the spoiled dog stretches out and smashes a button, which emits a recording that says, “Foot rub now.” The animal continues to slam the pink button until the foot massages continue.

It just goes to show that if you give a dog an inch, they will take a mile, or in this case, a nice foot rub.
