Even more mystifying and baffling, people have shown they will exhibit that same odd behavior for people running for public office.

Despite all the strange behavior people often display when they become members of large groups, sports fans are more committed and passionate than anyone. They stick with their team through the good times and the bad and continue to purchase their merchandise when the team has a subpar season. It’s that dedication and commitment that make the good seasons that much better.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a 2-year-old shows that he is likely to be a Mets fan for life. Some could argue that he’s their biggest and youngest fan. The little guy was captured on a baby monitor in his crib, chanting about the Mets.

While not a big baseball fan, I, like many others, am in no way a fan of New York’s other professional baseball team, the Yankees. And it would appear that this little guy is not either. When choosing a New York baseball team, the young man is, without a doubt, with the Mets.

Children are a wonderful gift from the Lord above. Whenever a couple first learns they are expecting, there is much joy, happiness and even a few tears. The happiness only multiplies as more and more people become aware of the little set to make their arrival in a matter of months.

As much joy and happiness as there is from learning that a child is on the way, there are also some side effects that can and typically do come from being pregnant. One of the most common is morning sickness. Any woman who has ever been pregnant likely knows this all too well.

One of the best things about music is that it brings people together. As a result, we’ve gotten some truly iconic and unforgettable duets throughout history. Husband and wife Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash sang several songs together, as did Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson joined up for “Say Say Say.” There’s Diana Ross and Lionel Richie, who sang the classic “Endless Love.” Also, who could forget “I Got You Babe” from Sonny and Cher?

It appears that we may have gotten another memorable duet. While this one may never reach the fame or popularity of those others, it’s likely much cuter. The clip posted on social media involves the participation of an animal. And who doesn’t immediately love anything involving the singing of a cute, furry, four-legged creature?

The 15-second clip begins with a little girl sitting in a field enthusiastically singing “If You’re Happy and You Know It.” At first glance, it might appear that she is all by herself. But that is not the case at all. There is a large, obviously worn-out, black mass lying right next to her right leg. The cat keeps the youngster company as she cheerfully sings the tune we all know and love.

But staying by her side is not all the animal does in this video. 

Surprisingly, the cat also lends its musical talents to the performance, making this one of the cutest duets you’ve ever witnessed. When the child sings, “If you’re happy and you know it, say meow,” the cat meows right on cue. She does this a couple more times, and in every instance, the cat responds with a perfectly-timed meow.

A mother’s love for her child is arguably the strongest, purest form we’ll ever see on Earth. There isn’t anything that most mothers and fathers, for that matter, would not do for their children. Many parents, if it were possible, would do whatever they could to keep their children from experiencing any pain. Is there anything worse as a parent than seeing your child suffering or in pain and knowing that there isn’t anything you can do to alleviate it?

Everyone loves babies. They bring about so much joy and happiness, even before they arrive. Look at how a couple reacts when they first learn that they are expecting. They typically respond with overwhelming happiness and joy, often even shedding tears and exchanging warm, loving hugs.

She cannot believe what she has just heard, and the future grandmother and the daughter-in-law share a warm and loving embrace.

“But, I’m thinking, ‘Is that really what I heard?’” she said. “And then, once I looked over at her and saw her face, I was like, ‘Absolutely, yes!’”

What a special moment between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law that they will remember and cherish for the rest of their lives. The clip also shows the pure, unbridled joy children add to the world even before they are in it.

No one wants to receive a scary, potentially life-changing medical diagnosis. Sadly, some will require patients to undergo a procedure to correct the problem. Much like visiting the doctor, there is much fear and trepidation regarding surgery, even if it is minor. When you’re lying on an operating table and being cut open, there will always be anxiety and nerves that arise as a result.

We’ve likely all been blessed with special people in our lives. These extraordinary individuals are people who can be counted on in any and every situation. Many people are incredibly self-conscious and unsure of themselves. Sadly, those feelings and the fear of embarrassment and judgment keep people from branching out and trying new things. They will likely give you their honest thoughts and opinions, regardless of how it sounds or makes you feel.

That honesty also extends to their actions. Young children will do what they want without thinking twice about it. They want to have fun and a good time and don’t care who sees it. Of course, as people get older, we become well aware of who's looking and watching and know people will judge if we do this or that.

Reading the Bible daily and getting into God’s Word is crucial. However, arguably, prayer is more important. It’s essential to every Christian’s daily walk with the Lord. How else do you build and strengthen a relationship without constant and consistent communication? When people cease talking to one another, the relationship breaks down, and troubles can and do occur.

That’s why it’s always a good practice to begin and end each day in prayer. It allows us to thank, praise and ask the God of the universe about pressing matters and other things weighing on our hearts and minds. Praying before going to bed is a practice that many people do, including tiny children.

The child's prayer is somewhat difficult to understand. However, it sounds like she mentions “daddy,” “mommy” and “Hannah” before ending her prayer with an emphatic “amen!” Whether we understand the prayer or not is not important, but we know He heard and understood what she had to say, and that’s what matters.

There are some singers other performers should just stay away from and not try to cover their songs. It’s not that the general public despises songs from these handful of singers. Instead, it’s because it’s very much the opposite. People absolutely love Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Adele and Aretha Franklin songs. Those tunes are classics, and those women all have one-of-a-generation-type voices.

It's for that reason that you likely hold your breath whenever someone on American Idol or The Voice announces they will be covering a Whitney Houston or a Celine Dion song. That’s a high mark to hit; most people cannot do it. Covering one of their songs is often setting yourself up for failure.

But what if you covered one of their songs without actually singing it? That’s exactly what Ben and Zara did in a short but uproarious clip posted on YouTube.  

In the video, they lip-sync Aretha’s classic “Think.” It’s a fantastic, fun-filled clip in which both use Aretha’s iconic lyrics to great comedic effect. The father and daughter let their personalities shine through as they emphasize the lyrics, using props and facial expressions to do so.

Also, they go through the entire clip without messing up an entire lyric. Amazingly, Ben and Zara sound just like Aretha Franklin. Of course, when you’re not actually singing and just mouthing the words, your accuracy and sound will be eerily similar to the original version.

Children are only little for a short time, as parents know all too well. Those little ones are constantly moving, learning and growing. Most parents would likely give anything in the world to return to a time when their children were little, even for a few moments.

Eating three square meals a day is necessary to stay and remain healthy. That’s a practice that most people have no problem keeping up with regularly. You don’t have to tell many Americans twice, or even once, to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. Americans know how to eat, that’s for sure.

However, the problem arises because many people like to eat more, often a lot more, than just three square meals. Snacking between meals is something nearly everyone does (me included). A little here and there is fine, but it should be done in moderation. Also, it depends on what you’re snacking on and enjoying between meals.

Animals are some of the best things about living on Earth. They are another one of the many ways the Lord has touched and blessed our lives. How can you not love animals? Even individuals who do not currently have a pet are likely to be big fans of those cute, four-legged and furry critters.

But when it comes to animals, everyone knows that dogs are special. They are just a notch above every other four-legged creature. Dogs are loyal, dependable to a fault and love unconditionally. They are man’s best friend, after all.

One mom came across one of the cutest scenes possible. As the text in the Instagram video points out, things were “too quiet,” and she started to hear giggling. So, being a mother, she had to investigate the situation and discover what was causing the laughter.

When she turned the corner, she finally spotted why her son was giggling. Her 1-year-old was found on the floor, but he was not injured or upset. Instead, the little guy was lying between his two “doggie brothers.”

The two full-grown golden retrievers were on either side of the child and loving on him. They were smothering him with doggy kisses, which the child, evidenced by his laughter, was absolutely loving.

What an absolutely beautiful clip and sight that provides another reason why dogs are so special. It’s hard to imagine two cats responding to and treating a child in a similar fashion.

This adorable chase between a little one and a pup melts hearts everywhere. Some videos are just cute. And then there are the ones that sneak past your defenses and flood your heart with pure joy — the kind of joy that reminds you God is still in the business of giving us good things. Like dogs. See, I believe God gives us dogs like Ziggy not just for protection or companionship — but for joy. For presence. For childhood memories and holy giggles that spill out during morning chaos. Dogs are often our first best friends. They teach us what it means to be loved for no reason at all. They wait by the door, they run beside us, and they remind us what it feels like to be seen as someone worth sticking close to — even if we’re slow and still figuring out how to walk steadily.

I’m a mom, and I’ve seen it in my own kids. The bond between a child and their dog is something magical. It’s God's way of saying, “Here’s a friend for the journey.”

And that cat? Watching from her perch, clearly unimpressed? She’s the comic relief in the sacredness. The sarcastic sibling. The hilarious contrast that God probably included just to make sure we don’t take ourselves too seriously.

Maybe today, you just needed the reminder that God is still pouring joy into the world in the form of muddy paw prints, unsteady baby steps, and reels that make us laugh out loud. Maybe you needed to see that play still matters — even if your feet aren’t so steady, even if you’re not quite sure you can keep up.

Because sometimes God shows up in the simplest, most unexpected places — like a dog named Ziggy and a baby sister with a belly laugh that could bring down walls.

And today, that good gift might just be a dog who thinks you’re the fastest kid alive.

A child shared a hilarious message about school with the government. The 6-year-old pleads for the government to act quickly and rectify an all-important situation with his school immediately. Check out the short but hysterical clip to hear what the young man felt was so urgent he went right to the government.

Everyone enjoys a little rest and relaxation. Not only do we like it, but getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life now and then is necessary to stay sane. You don’t even have to go anywhere either to relax. Staycations have become very popular in the last couple of years and are exactly as they sound. People use their vacation time to kick back and take it easy for a few days at home.

As much as everyone enjoys getting away from their 9 to 5, being an elementary student is also pretty stressful. In a clip posted on YouTube, one young man made a plea to the government about his school. The little guy would appreciate it if the powers that be would add another day to his school’s weekend.

In the video, 6-year-old Brodie argues that Saturday and Sunday are insufficient time away from school. He would like a three-day weekend and would like the government to work on that as soon as possible.

In his “protest” video, the young man makes a compelling case for why three days off from school are desperately needed.

“I’ve been tired of school lately, and I’ve been dreaming for three days off,” he said. “Two days is not enough from school. I need three days off. I need time to just play and go with Nay Nay and stay home and do whatever I want outside.”

It’s hard to argue against his reasoning. I think he has a strong case. We’ll have to wait and see how the government responds to the young man’s plea.

A mom finds a surprise video on her phone, and it’s the sweetest thing ever. The beautiful, heartwarming audio recorded in the video is enough to make even the most stoic, unemotional person shed a tear or two. Watch the short clip to see the sweet video one mother came across on her phone.

Being a parent is, without a doubt, one of life’s greatest blessings. There is nothing like watching little ones learn, grow and explore. No parent would ever want to return to a time when their children weren’t in their lives. In fact, most mothers and fathers would probably like to freeze time and have their children remain little forever.  

Sadly, children do grow and tend to do it way too fast. Since time passes so rapidly, photos and videos of our children are deeply cherished and invaluable. One mother came across a video made by her daughter on her phone. It’s one that she will forever cherish!

In the video posted on social media, the little girl uses her mother’s phone to film her mother skating around a park. But it’s not the visuals that will likely bring you and everyone else who watches the clip to tears. It’s the child’s unbelievably sweet narration that will do that.

“Look at that mom over there,” the little girl says. “That mom over there is the best mom in the whole, whole wide world. That’s the best mom on planet Earth right there.”

Later in the video, the child comments on the relationship between her mother and her children.

“What a wonderful mom,” the girl says. “Look how beautiful the bond is between my mom and her children. How beautiful! That’s the best mom in the whole, whole wide world. Look at that awesome, incredible mom.”

Psalm 127:3 “See, children are a heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.”

A little girl fed several horses but hilariously avoided one unexpected creature. The child had no fear of the large, full-grown horses. However, she did not want to get anywhere near one critter. Watch the short but hysterical video to see the youngster’s reaction when she spots the large creature.

Children, for the most part, are fearless. They will do just about anything and everything (and say anything in front of anyone). It has to be that they don’t know enough to be afraid or fearful of someone or something. They don’t have the intention or desire to hurt anyone, so why would anyone want to hurt them, their thinking must go.

However, a clip posted on social media shows a little girl who knows enough to do whatever she can to stay away from one large bird. The video shows the youngster as she visits several horses in a stable. She confidently bangs on the horses’ enclosures to get their attention, letting them know it’s time to eat.

Once the horse understands what the child is doing, she offers them a single carrot. The horses gently but quickly chomp down upon and gobble up the vegetables right out of the child’s hand. Despite how big those animals are, the child does not show any fear of them whatsoever.

But about halfway through the clip, as she continues to feed the animals, someone unexpectedly shows up and disrupts her process. An emu appears about halfway through the video. The child wants nothing to do with the bird.

“Oh, I’m not going that way,” the little girl says after spotting the bird in her way.

She reverses course and goes in the complete opposite direction. Later, the bird returns, and it starts to come toward her, and she makes sure to keep a close eye on it, not letting it come near her.

I cannot blame her at all. I would do whatever I could to avoid those large, ugly birds.
