Reading the Bible daily and getting into God’s Word is crucial. However, arguably, prayer is more important. It’s essential to every Christian’s daily walk with the Lord. How else do you build and strengthen a relationship without constant and consistent communication? When people cease talking to one another, the relationship breaks down, and troubles can and do occur.

That’s why it’s always a good practice to begin and end each day in prayer. It allows us to thank, praise and ask the God of the universe about pressing matters and other things weighing on our hearts and minds. Praying before going to bed is a practice that many people do, including tiny children.

In her arms, the little girl cradles an orange-and-cream-colored cat. The cat, who seemingly understands that the little girl is talking to the Lord, does not want to interrupt. Even though the cat looks incredibly uncomfortable, it does not move a muscle in the clip.

The child's prayer is somewhat difficult to understand. However, it sounds like she mentions “daddy,” “mommy” and “Hannah” before ending her prayer with an emphatic “amen!” Whether we understand the prayer or not is not important, but we know He heard and understood what she had to say, and that’s what matters.

What an absolutely precious and adorable sight!

There are some singers other performers should just stay away from and not try to cover their songs. It’s not that the general public despises songs from these handful of singers. Instead, it’s because it’s very much the opposite. People absolutely love Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Adele and Aretha Franklin songs. Those tunes are classics, and those women all have one-of-a-generation-type voices.

It's for that reason that you likely hold your breath whenever someone on American Idol or The Voice announces they will be covering a Whitney Houston or a Celine Dion song. That’s a high mark to hit; most people cannot do it. Covering one of their songs is often setting yourself up for failure.

But what if you covered one of their songs without actually singing it? That’s exactly what Ben and Zara did in a short but uproarious clip posted on YouTube.  

In the video, they lip-sync Aretha’s classic “Think.” It’s a fantastic, fun-filled clip in which both use Aretha’s iconic lyrics to great comedic effect. The father and daughter let their personalities shine through as they emphasize the lyrics, using props and facial expressions to do so.

Also, they go through the entire clip without messing up an entire lyric. Amazingly, Ben and Zara sound just like Aretha Franklin. Of course, when you’re not actually singing and just mouthing the words, your accuracy and sound will be eerily similar to the original version.

It’s been said that dogs are man’s best friend. Unlike a lot of popular sayings, that one is undoubtedly true. All animals are great and beloved by most people, even those who are not pet owners. But there is something special about dogs.

Dogs are incredibly loyal, dependable to a fault and love unconditionally. Those furry, four-legged creatures greet you at the door every day, regardless of whether you’ve had a terrific day or one you’d rather forget. They are pals through thick and thin and will never even consider going elsewhere.

Additionally, dogs are some of the most kind and gentle creatures. A short and adorable clip posted on YouTube proves this. It’s so cute that you’ll probably have to watch it multiple times! Who could ever get tired of watching dogs interact with babies and toddlers?

The clip starts with the youngster and the dog outside, standing near a pool-like object. Near this blue-colored item is a hose, which is spitting out water. The little one, who has control of the hose, helps himself to a drink from the hose. The dog stands nearby, taking this all in, patiently waiting for its chance to quench its thirst from the hose.

However, after the youngster gets a drink, the sweetest thing happens. The child starts giggling uncontrollably and gives the animal a drink from the hose, holding it to its mouth. The child and the dog go back and forth several times, taking turns grabbing drinks of water from the hose.

The whole time, the child laughs and takes the hose from its mouth to the dog; the sweet dog stands nearby, watching the child. The dog never moves or even tries to grab at the hose. It’s so patient, kind and gentle with the little one.

Children are only little for a short time, as parents know all too well. Those little ones are constantly moving, learning and growing. Most parents would likely give anything in the world to return to a time when their children were little, even for a few moments.

Eating three square meals a day is necessary to stay and remain healthy. That’s a practice that most people have no problem keeping up with regularly. You don’t have to tell many Americans twice, or even once, to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. Americans know how to eat, that’s for sure.

However, the problem arises because many people like to eat more, often a lot more, than just three square meals. Snacking between meals is something nearly everyone does (me included). A little here and there is fine, but it should be done in moderation. Also, it depends on what you’re snacking on and enjoying between meals.

Yes, you read that correctly. The child was caught as he was moments away from enjoying a bite of potato. The vegetable was already in his mouth when he was discovered in what he must have thought was an excellent hiding spot.

He did not even try to explain himself. Instead, he looked at the camera with the potato still in his mouth, not even trying to act like he wasn’t eating the unexpected treat.

Hey, some people like snacking on M&Ms, South Patch Kids and Skittles. Other people prefer a nice big bite of a raw potato.

Being a parent is one of the biggest blessings. No parent would say otherwise because they realize their lives are immediately made exceedingly better due to their children’s presence. Animals are some of the best things about living on Earth. They are another one of the many ways the Lord has touched and blessed our lives. How can you not love animals? Even individuals who do not currently have a pet are likely to be big fans of those cute, four-legged and furry critters.

But when it comes to animals, everyone knows that dogs are special. They are just a notch above every other four-legged creature. Dogs are loyal, dependable to a fault and love unconditionally. They are man’s best friend, after all.

One mom came across one of the cutest scenes possible. As the text in the Instagram video points out, things were “too quiet,” and she started to hear giggling. So, being a mother, she had to investigate the situation and discover what was causing the laughter.

When she turned the corner, she finally spotted why her son was giggling. Her 1-year-old was found on the floor, but he was not injured or upset. Instead, the little guy was lying between his two “doggie brothers.”

The two full-grown golden retrievers were on either side of the child and loving on him. They were smothering him with doggy kisses, which the child, evidenced by his laughter, was absolutely loving.

What an absolutely beautiful clip and sight that provides another reason why dogs are so special. It’s hard to imagine two cats responding to and treating a child in a similar fashion.

This adorable chase between a little one and a pup melts hearts everywhere. Some videos are just cute. And then there are the ones that sneak past your defenses and flood your heart with pure joy — the kind of joy that reminds you God is still in the business of giving us good things. Like dogs. And babies. And playtime.

The reel from ziggys_wild_adventures is exactly that kind of joy bomb. It captures Ziggy, an enthusiastic Jack Russell Terrier, playing chase with his baby sister — a wobbly little wonder with big dreams of speed and the sweetest determination written all over her face. The family cat perched above the fray like the reluctant supervisor of this entire toddler-dog operation.

The scene is nothing short of delight. It begins with the baby sitting on the floor, wide-eyed and ready for whatever adventure Ziggy has planned. The moment she manages to stand, Ziggy takes off in excited circles, practically wagging his whole body. He looks back at her as if to say, “Come on, little sister, let’s do this!”

And she tries — oh, how she tries — toddling after him with more heart than balance. She wobbles, she laughs, and Ziggy, being the perfect first best friend, loops back around to make the game easier, to make sure she’s still in on the fun. It’s playful. It’s pure. It’s the kind of sweetness that tugs on something sacred in all of us.

See, I believe God gives us dogs like Ziggy not just for protection or companionship — but for joy. For presence. For childhood memories and holy giggles that spill out during morning chaos. Dogs are often our first best friends. They teach us what it means to be loved for no reason at all. They wait by the door, they run beside us, and they remind us what it feels like to be seen as someone worth sticking close to — even if we’re slow and still figuring out how to walk steadily.

I’m a mom, and I’ve seen it in my own kids. The bond between a child and their dog is something magical. It’s God's way of saying, “Here’s a friend for the journey.”

And that cat? Watching from her perch, clearly unimpressed? She’s the comic relief in the sacredness. The sarcastic sibling. The hilarious contrast that God probably included just to make sure we don’t take ourselves too seriously.

Maybe today, you just needed the reminder that God is still pouring joy into the world in the form of muddy paw prints, unsteady baby steps, and reels that make us laugh out loud. Maybe you needed to see that play still matters — even if your feet aren’t so steady, even if you’re not quite sure you can keep up.

Because sometimes God shows up in the simplest, most unexpected places — like a dog named Ziggy and a baby sister with a belly laugh that could bring down walls.

A child shared a hilarious message about school with the government. The 6-year-old pleads for the government to act quickly and rectify an all-important situation with his school immediately. Everyone enjoys a little rest and relaxation. Not only do we like it, but getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life now and then is necessary to stay sane. You don’t even have to go anywhere either to relax. Staycations have become very popular in the last couple of years and are exactly as they sound. People use their vacation time to kick back and take it easy for a few days at home.

As much as everyone enjoys getting away from their 9 to 5, being an elementary student is also pretty stressful. In a clip posted on YouTube, one young man made a plea to the government about his school. The little guy would appreciate it if the powers that be would add another day to his school’s weekend.

In the video, 6-year-old Brodie argues that Saturday and Sunday are insufficient time away from school. He would like a three-day weekend and would like the government to work on that as soon as possible.

In his “protest” video, the young man makes a compelling case for why three days off from school are desperately needed.

“I’ve been tired of school lately, and I’ve been dreaming for three days off,” he said. “Two days is not enough from school. I need three days off. I need time to just play and go with Nay Nay and stay home and do whatever I want outside.”

It’s hard to argue against his reasoning. I think he has a strong case. We’ll have to wait and see how the government responds to the young man’s plea.

Being a parent is, without a doubt, one of life’s greatest blessings. There is nothing like watching little ones learn, grow and explore. No parent would ever want to return to a time when their children weren’t in their lives. In fact, most mothers and fathers would probably like to freeze time and have their children remain little forever.  

Sadly, children do grow and tend to do it way too fast. Since time passes so rapidly, photos and videos of our children are deeply cherished and invaluable. One mother came across a video made by her daughter on her phone. It’s one that she will forever cherish!

In the video posted on social media, the little girl uses her mother’s phone to film her mother skating around a park. But it’s not the visuals that will likely bring you and everyone else who watches the clip to tears. It’s the child’s unbelievably sweet narration that will do that.

“Look at that mom over there,” the little girl says. “That mom over there is the best mom in the whole, whole wide world. That’s the best mom on planet Earth right there.”

Later in the video, the child comments on the relationship between her mother and her children.

“What a wonderful mom,” the girl says. “Look how beautiful the bond is between my mom and her children. How beautiful! That’s the best mom in the whole, whole wide world. Look at that awesome, incredible mom.”

A little girl fed several horses but hilariously avoided one unexpected creature. The child had no fear of the large, full-grown horses. However, she did not want to get anywhere near one critter. Children, for the most part, are fearless. They will do just about anything and everything (and say anything in front of anyone). It has to be that they don’t know enough to be afraid or fearful of someone or something. They don’t have the intention or desire to hurt anyone, so why would anyone want to hurt them, their thinking must go.

However, a clip posted on social media shows a little girl who knows enough to do whatever she can to stay away from one large bird. The video shows the youngster as she visits several horses in a stable. She confidently bangs on the horses’ enclosures to get their attention, letting them know it’s time to eat.

Once the horse understands what the child is doing, she offers them a single carrot. The horses gently but quickly chomp down upon and gobble up the vegetables right out of the child’s hand. Despite how big those animals are, the child does not show any fear of them whatsoever.

But about halfway through the clip, as she continues to feed the animals, someone unexpectedly shows up and disrupts her process. An emu appears about halfway through the video. The child wants nothing to do with the bird.

“Oh, I’m not going that way,” the little girl says after spotting the bird in her way.

She reverses course and goes in the complete opposite direction. Later, the bird returns, and it starts to come toward her, and she makes sure to keep a close eye on it, not letting it come near her.

I cannot blame her at all. I would do whatever I could to avoid those large, ugly birds.

A group of workers replacing a floor joined a little girl in an adorable sing-along. While hard at work in a house, the men gave a sweet performance as they sang a cute song with a young woman. Watch the short but unbelievably sweet and heartwarming clip to hear the sing-along.

As every parent knows, children love music, especially when it’s a song from one of their favorite movies or television shows. When that happens, children will sing those tunes over and over and over again. All parents are also more than familiar with this. After the first “Frozen” movie came out, for years, it was nearly impossible to go anywhere and not hear “Let It Go.” Even if you didn’t have kids, you still knew all the words to “Let It Go” simply because of how much the song was played.

But when you are a parent, you want to make your kids happy and do whatever you can to make that happen. Sometimes, that means singing along with them to their favorite song, even if you’ve heard it thousands of times.

Based on their willingness to sing the silly song with the girl, all those men are likely parents. No one else but a parent would willingly sing a song about how a penguin waddles.

Do you remember your very first best friend? In this case, it’s a toddler and a black lab’s adorable bond that will no doubt melt hearts. 

 We all had best friends when we were little. They were the ones who were there for every scraped knee, every belly laugh, every whispered secret under a blanket fort. For Charlie, a toddler with eyes full of wonder and a heart wide open, his first best friend isn’t just one—it’s two. Moose and Poppy, his English Labs, have been by his side for as long as he can remember.

They are the kind of friends who don’t need words, just presence. Moose, the older one, watches from a quiet distance, steady and sure. But Poppy? Poppy is all in every single time. She is joy, wrapped in fur, bounding through the house with the kind of energy only a dog who has found her person can have.

There’s a video of the two of them, a small moment caught on camera that holds something so much bigger. Charlie, laughing from the depths of his tiny belly, and Poppy, zipping back and forth in dizzying circles. The two of them caught up in some sacred rhythm of joy. And then, something small but telling. Poppy, in all her excitement, sneezes—a quiet signal in the language of dogs. It’s her way of saying, “I’m playing. I’m being gentle. You are safe with me.” Someone in the comments notices it, too. “It’s like she knows she has to be careful, so she’s doing zoomies with the parking brake on.” Another writes, “The way she keeps checking in to make sure he’s okay—that’s love.”

And isn’t that what makes this so beautiful? Not just the laughter, not just the play, but the way she sees him. The way she moves with just enough restraint, even in her wildest joy. The way he trusts her completely. Because love—real, deep, steady love—does that. It runs wild but stays near. It delights but protects. It moves fast but never too far.

Charlie may not know it yet, but he will. One day, when childhood is a memory and Moose and Poppy are names he speaks with longing, he’ll realize what a gift it was to be loved like this. To have had best friends who never needed words, just an open door and a heart big enough to hold all the love they had to give.

A big sister was overwhelmed with emotion meeting her newborn sibling. The young lady could not keep herself from crying while laying eyes on and holding her little sister for the first time. Watch the short but cute video to see the heartwarming moment between the two sisters.

Siblings, especially when they are little, will not get along every moment. Many of their childhood interactions will result in anger, tears and physical altercations. Every parent with two or more children completely understands that young siblings do not get along 100 percent of the time.

Isaiah 41:10 “Have no fear, for I am with you; do not be looking about in trouble, for I am your God; I will give you strength, yes, I will be your helper; yes, my true right hand will be your support.”

For the most part, we are all incredibly blessed. Our needs are met and fulfilled regularly, and often, we have many of our wants and desires provided as well. The Lord has touched and impacted our lives in countless ways, giving us much more than we deserve.

Knowing and understanding how much we’ve been blessed will likely make us feel ashamed and embarrassed for complaining about anything. However, we are still human, and when things don’t go our way 100 percent of the time, we tend to air those grievances and let others know how we feel. Even the most grateful person will complain from time to time.

A teacher asked her students about the weight of a rainbow, and the answers she received were priceless. The question to the class was part of a joke. One woman, a fifth-grade teacher, has devised a way to give her students a moment of levity every day. She uses what she calls “The Joke of the Day.” In a clip posted on YouTube, her joke of the day involved the weight of rainbows. She asked the students what they weighed and got some priceless responses.

She got all kinds of answers. One child said, “A lot of gold coins.” Another suggested an ounce, while someone else said, “Nothing.”  One kid went very scientific with his answer, mentioning how tiny it would be considering how much light weighs.

In the end, the answer to the teacher’s joke was cute and one that will probably cause you to roll your eyes as you chuckle to yourself!
