A future grandmother's response to a delivery room invite melts hearts. She couldn’t have been more thrilled when her daughter-in-law asked if she wanted to be in the room. Watch the short but sweet clip to see and hear how the woman reacted to the special invitation.
Everyone loves babies. They bring about so much joy and happiness, even before they arrive. Look at how a couple reacts when they first learn that they are expecting. They typically respond with overwhelming happiness and joy, often even shedding tears and exchanging warm, loving hugs.
The joy only multiplies and increases significantly as more family members and friends learn that the couple is expecting a baby. Soon after word gets out, gender reveal parties and baby showers are thrown, occurring before the little one has been born. Again, people simply love and adore babies, and who wouldn’t?
In a clip posted on YouTube, one woman responded with overwhelming joy, unable to contain her happiness after receiving a special invite from her daughter-in-law. The mother-to-be asked the future grandmother if she wanted to be in the delivery room to witness the birth of her grandchild. The woman did not even have to think before giving her answer. It was an enthusiastic and overwhelming yes.
“Are you freaking kidding me?” the woman responds. “Are you serious? Yes, I would love to!”
She cannot believe what she has just heard, and the future grandmother and the daughter-in-law share a warm and loving embrace.
While holding her grandchild, the woman called her daughter-in-law’s unexpected delivery room invite “the best surprise ever.”
“But, I’m thinking, ‘Is that really what I heard?’” she said. “And then, once I looked over at her and saw her face, I was like, ‘Absolutely, yes!’”
What a special moment between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law that they will remember and cherish for the rest of their lives. The clip also shows the pure, unbridled joy children add to the world even before they are in it.
John 16:21 “When a woman is about to give birth she has sorrow, because her hour is come; but when she has given birth to the child, the pain is put out of her mind by the joy that man has come into the world.”
