Becoming a parent is a huge, massive and life-changing event. Nothing will ever be the same after welcoming a little one into your life and home. Yes, there will be some big adjustments that will need to be made, but it is one of, if not the biggest, blessings anyone can experience in this life.

While all children are an absolute blessing, being a parent comes with a whole host of responsibilities and obligations. Parents are charged with providing for that little one, taking care of and attending to their needs, whatever they might be. As every parent knows, children require a lot of attention. Sadly, the repercussions for not doing so fast enough will be loud for the parents and everyone else in the vicinity.

A child standing in a playpen begins yelling, obviously hoping to get someone’s attention. But the youngster is not the only one who would appreciate some immediate attention. Teaching is an important, essential and noble profession. The men and women who work in education touch and impact young lives every single day. What they say and do in the classroom will have a long-lasting effect on the next generation. Their actions matter greatly. Although teaching is a critically important profession, it is still a job. You won’t be surprised to learn that teachers also have their ups and downs, good days and bad days. The profession has its good points, but it also has drawbacks. In a clip posted on YouTube, a teacher recites all the hilarious things her fifth-grade students said in just one week. In addition to being incredibly hilarious, they are also surprisingly witty.

“We were working pretty quietly, and I just heard this student mumble under their breath, and they said, ‘I’m having some technical difficulties with my intelligence,’” the teacher said.

“I had a student come up to me, and she goes, ‘High five!’” the educator recalled. “And I said, ‘That’s two fingers.’  And she goes, ‘Roman numerals.’”

She also said that a teacher approached her desk after a lesson, excitedly stating that she had learned something. When asked specifically what she had learned, she answered that she had forgotten.

When working with children, you can never be sure what will come out of their mouths.

Babies, especially when they begin crawling and walking, tend to get into anything and everything. As all parents know, every item the child comes across instantly becomes a toy. Understanding that young children can and do make a toy and a snack out of everything they come across, parents must prepare for this eventuality. Keeping the floor clean of unwanted and potentially hazardous debris, moving breakables to a safe, unreachable location and placing foam padding on corners are all a series of activities that have become known as baby proofing. 

All parents do it, and it’s the smart, responsible thing to do to keep your curious little one safe.
However, one clip hilariously captured a youngster showing that not even the best, most intricate and detailed baby-proofing job was enough to stop them. This child easily went through and discarded the materials intended to help protect a corner in the house.

The youngster easily picked off the foam padding from the corner and immediately started to help itself to a nice, well-earned snack. Why would the child want to ingest foam padding? Well, why not? Everything else it finds makes its way into its mouth, so why should the padding be any different?

Luckily, Mom spots the child trying to chow down on the padding and interrupts the little one’s snack time.

The young entrepreneur seemed to know exactly what she was doing as she was trying to interest a potential client in some of her business’s services. Is there anything children love more than playing? Perhaps ice cream, but despite how much they are into the cold, sweet treat, playing will always remain high on their list. As every parent knows, playtime activities can take many different forms. In the video, the child is the owner of a spa, and she is answering questions from someone who is interested in her services. The woman is trying to figure out what the business has that she might want. Hilariously, it’s clear that the little girl, who answers the woman’s series of questions, is getting frustrated by being blitzed with question after question.

Before she undergoes the spa's treatments, the little girl wants payment. She seems to think her time is valuable and doesn’t want to waste it answering pointless questions, even if they're from a customer.

However, the most hilarious part of the clip happens at the end, and it’s a result of the child’s honesty.

“What’s this smell like? It smells so good,” the woman behind the camera says. “What’s that smell?”

“The chemical water,” the little girl answers.

The two village children were playing traditional Lolorian games after coming home from school. They were very happy.

Since getting a helmet and pads for Christmas, Dayton had been determined to learn how to ride her bike without training wheels, practicing alongside her dad while her twin sister had already learned. Despite several falls, she stayed positive and encouraged herself the entire time. When Dayton finally realizes she’s gained control of the bike, she celebrates herself screaming YES YES I’M DOING IT with so much excitement, cheering herself on as her dad runs right beside her.

Nearly everyone has a cell phone, and at this point, it’s basically become an extension of our hands. We are addicted to those little devices and are constantly on them. Whether scrolling through our feed on one of the many popular social media platforms, surfing the web or typing out text, we all have our faces buried in our phones most of the time. We cannot get away from them.

Today, phones are used for nearly everything. We look up the forecast, check the traffic on the interstate and use it to capture special events by using its cutting-edge camera to take pictures. It’s used for nearly every activity imaginable except for what it was initially intended to do: call someone on it. Instead of phone calls, everyone fires off a quick series of texts. I get it; it’s much faster and more convenient to text than to make a phone call.

Children are much smarter than many people want to admit. Their brains are growing and constantly absorbing information. A good way to describe them is like sponges, soaking up things said and done around them. So, knowing that, it's critically important to start children off on the right foot. Giving them avenues to learn and explore is crucial.

Additionally, whether we know it or not, children are always listening and watching. Even if we don't see them, their little eyes and ears are open, taking in everything they see and hear. Act a certain way, and your child will imitate that motion or activity. Talk in a particular manner or say an unflattering or profane word; you'd better believe your child or grandchild will hear and repeat that language.

A Florida café charms visitors with its adorable but very unexpected residents. The customers who stop by the establishment grab something to drink and spend some time with the precious critters who live at the café. Many people have a strong liking and desire for caffeine. Some may even go so far as to call it an addiction. That’s only because so many individuals have made a pit stop at Starbucks for an overpriced drink with loads of sugar and caffeine on the way to work, a must, a part of their morning routine. Their entire day will be thrown off if they don’t get their mocha, frappe, latte, chai, whatever.

While Starbucks is the choice for many when it comes to getting their caffeine fix, others prefer their crème, caffeine and sugar to have a more local taste. For those who live in St. Augustine, Florida, there can only be one place to pick up their drink of choice.  As the video shows, customers flock to the Capybara Café. While their drinks may be something special, I’m guessing most of the people have shown up hoping to spend some time with the cute and cuddly capybaras who live at the café.

“Capybara is the world’s largest rodent,” one of the café’s employees said. “They are native to South America. Basically, you can think about a guinea pig that got to be 100, 150 pounds.”

How adorable is that? Seriously, who wouldn’t want to chug down their caffeinated drink while hanging out with a capybara or two?

A 2-year-old stunned the America’s Got Talent judges with his incredible math skills. The impressive young man put his astonishing gift for numbers on full display, much to the delight of all four judges and the studio audience. Most of the people who go on shows like American Idol, The Voice and America’s Got Talent are doing so that they can, hopefully, wow the judges and the studio audience with their musical abilities. That accurately describes something like 99 percent of those who audition. Some make the cut while others are sent home, sadly, with their dreams of hitting it big dashed.

If singing or playing an instrument is your thing, that’s great. Show the world what you can do. But not everyone is blessed with the ability to belt out the lyrics to “Livin’ on a Prayer” or “Defying Gravity.” There are, believe it or not, other talents, gifts and skills that human beings have been so graciously given. A clip posted on YouTube shows one young man who showed off and wowed the judges and everyone else with his talent for quickly solving mathematical equations.

The 2-year-old is joined on stage by his father, who asks each of the judges to provide them with either a one-digit or a two-digit number. After the judges supplied him with numbers, the little guy got to work and, in a matter of seconds, he had the correct answer.

To ensure he knew what he was doing and didn’t just stumble upon the right answer by mistake, the child worked out three different math problems on stage.

At just 2 years old, the little guy is already doing a higher level of math than many people much older than him can do. What a thoroughly impressive little guy!

A woman and her team of miniature horses work to lift spirits in hospitals. They visit patients in medical facilities to spread joy and happiness to those in the hospital. Hospital visits are not, for the most part, joyful, celebratory outings. They usually begin because someone is sick or in pain and seeks to diagnose and then correct the issue. Similarly, visiting an individual in the hospital, while a courtesy and an excellent way to show someone how much you care, is not usually an occasion to commemorate and look back fondly upon later. Of course, a birth is the only exception to this rule. That is undoubtedly an instance when a visit to the hospital is joyful and a cause for celebration.

Because hospitals are for those who are sick and need medical attention, they are obviously not the most upbeat, lively and happening places in the world. They are usually very much the opposite, which is why one woman and her team of mini horses visit hospital patients. She and her adorable, four-legged friends work to comfort, lift their spirits and put smiles on their faces.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Victoria Nodiff-Netanel, the founder of the nonprofit Mini-Therapy Horses, and her team of miniature horses are spotted interacting with hospital patients and staff. The precious animals perform tricks and offer comfort, with one of the horses even playing the keyboard with its face.

“The tricks are really tools for the horses to connect with people, but it’s fun,” Victoria said.

As Victoria explains, her mission originally started with her visiting a veterans hospital to bring comfort and joy to those who had served in the military.

“My dad was a vet, and I just thought, I’d really like to help veterans,” she added.

What a wonderful, heartwarming mission!

Weddings are special, life-changing occasions. Two people exchange vows and promise to be with one another regardless of what life may throw their way. They are enough to bring even the most stoic, unemotional person to tears. What could be better than going to a wedding?

As much fun and heartwarming as it may be to witness two individuals pledge to remain together until death do them part, weddings do not happen haphazardly or come together at the last second. They require immense planning and attention to detail. Many couples will take an entire year to plan their nuptials, hoping to get everything right for their big day.

Even with all that time, everything may not go according to plan. Life is unpredictable, and sometimes, you may even have a sweet duck crash your wedding, as is what happened in a clip posted on social media.  The uninvited guest also thought it was a good idea to waddle down the aisle right as the bride was about to make her grand entrance during the ceremony.

Shopping is, without a doubt, one of the worst activities humans must engage in regularly. No one enjoys going to the doctor or dentist either, but I would argue those medical outings are preferable to visiting any store. That may sound like an exaggeration, but it is not.

However, as much as I detest shopping, the absolute worst, most horrible type is shopping for groceries. It’s physically impossible to pop into a grocery store for a “quick trip.” Why? Most grocery stores are laid out in the most illogical and haphazard way. It’s almost like those who set up the aisles did so with their eyes closed. Also, it never fails that whenever you eventually find the item you need, someone stands right in front of it, carefully reading every ingredient in a box of cake mix like it’s a matter of life and death.

But one video posted on YouTube makes the horrible grocery store shopping experience a little bit better. The clip shows a small dog standing on its back legs as it leans onto and pushes an equally small cart forward. The miniature shopping cart even holds several items.

The clip follows the cute, furry, four-legged shopper across the store, leaving you wondering where the dog is going. Is it planning to shoplift? No, not exactly; like every other shopper, the dog is looking for the shortest, most efficient checkout line possible.

Eventually, the dog does find a checkout line whose length is not too bad. The animal then waits patiently for its turn at the checkout counter.

A child’s unexpected moment with a police officer melts hearts everywhere. The young man approached the nearby officer, and what he did next was incredibly sweet and heartwarming. Watch the short but precious clip to witness the adorable moment between the child and the police officer.

Firefighters and police officers are two of society’s biggest heroes. The men and women who work in those two fields regularly, almost daily, put their safety and lives on the line for others. They selflessly give of themselves, protecting and looking out for others and their well-being. They should be given much more praise and gratitude than they receive. Their swift, decisive actions are, more often than not, lifesaving, especially during emergencies and times of great distress. 

When everyone else is running away from the emergency or disaster, those men and women are running in the opposite direction, toward the frightening situation, to offer their assistance.

One young man seemed to understand how much the men and women who work in law enforcement do for us regularly. In a clip posted on YouTube, the little guy, who was enjoying some time playing at the park, stopped what he was doing and approached an officer standing nearby.

The child, who was only 3 years old, walked up to the officer, stopped, and held out his hand. The child wanted to give the man in uniform a handshake and thank him for what he does for him and everyone else.

While diligently standing watch, the officer does not immediately notice the little guy with his outstretched hand. However, eventually, the officer spots the child near him and shakes his hand.

It’s an unbelievably sweet moment. That 3-year-old obviously has parents who have taught him correctly. For him to go up to a police officer unprompted and shake his hand is heartwarming and tear-jerking. Children that young don’t do stuff like that; many adults don’t have the presence of mind to do that kind of thing, either.
