The One Component of Prayer Nearly All of Us Neglect

Don't forget to grab your free scripture journal at PrayingChristianWomen.com/journal today! In Part 2 of the special "lost episodes" recovered from the 2018 archives, Jaime and Alana take us back to the very beginning—Episode 2 of the show—to tackle the single most neglected component of a healthy prayer life: Confession If the word "confession" stirs up feelings of fear, shame, or hesitation, this conversation flips the script, redefining the act not as a punishment, but as the essential pathway to profound spiritual healing. The hosts deconstruct the stigma around admitting our faults, illustrating how keeping "short accounts" with God is actually the key to maintaining a clear and open line of communication. Drawing from the wisdom of James 5:16, they explore how unconfessed sin acts as a "prayer block" and why the Bible links confession directly to restoration. They candidly discuss the discomfort of vulnerability, the "crumpled paper" analogy of how sin builds invisible barriers, and the often-overlooked power of corporate repentance to bring unity to the body of Christ.

Brandon Lake’s Powerful and Uplifting Message for Christians

Brandon Lake shared a powerful and uplifting message for all Christians. The popular Christian music artist will have you fired up and encouraged after listening to moving words directed at followers of Jesus Christ. Watch the short but impactful clip to listen to what he had to say.

Christians are called to be fishers of men, to share the Gospel and make disciples for Jesus Christ. Of course, we all know that that is much easier said than done. Causally bringing up Jesus Christ and the topic of faith in a conversation can be challenging at times, especially when you’re not with a receptive audience.

But it was never said that being a Christian would be easy. In fact, being a Christian can be challenging in some instances. Christians are not called to become followers and then keep the Gospel to themselves. Sharing the Good News with others is something we are all tasked with doing.

Even then, whenever we run into people who aren’t open to hearing about Christ, it can be discouraging, and we might even shy away from ever mentioning His name in conversations with others. If that describes you, Brandon Lake shared some uplifting and powerful words during a concert that will encourage and challenge you to continue sharing the life-changing, life-saving message of Jesus Christ.

“Don’t be afraid to carry the light and the truth of the Gospel into the darkest places; that is what you were called to do,” he said. “That’s what He made you to do. You are a disciple filled with the Holy Ghost. If you’ve accepted Jesus, He’s filled you with His Spirit.”

He added that, since we have Christ in us, there is no reason to fear anything.

“You don’t need to be afraid to walk into a room full of darkness ‘cause you carry the light,” he said.

Isaiah 41:10 “Have no fear, for I am with you; do not be looking about in trouble, for I am your God; I will give you strength, yes, I will be your helper; yes, my true right hand will be your support.”

Catherine O’Hara Revealed the Role She Hopes to Be Remembered For – and It’s Heartwarming

Catherine O’Hara revealed the role she hopes she's best remembered for, and it’s heartwarming. The legendary actress unexpectedly passed away at the age of 71. Watch the short but tear-jerking clip to hear Catherine mention the role that obviously meant the most to her, and make sure you have the box of tissues nearby.

Death is something that we will all experience at some time. No one will be able to avoid it, regardless of fame, fortune or any other characteristic or distinguishing factor. To make matters even worse, no one knows how much time they have left on Earth. It could be 40, 50 years or 40, 50 minutes. We have no way of knowing.

That’s why it’s essential to make the time that we have been given count. Sure, we all have goals, and we want to accomplish things in life, but at the end of our lives, will that even matter? How many people do you know at the end of their lives, on their deathbeds, wish they had spent more time at work? Everyone will wish they had spent more time with their family and friends.

In a clip posted on social media, someone caught up with Catherine at the airport. The man behind the camera asked the “Home Alone” and “Beetlejuice” star what role she hoped she would be most remembered for, and her sweet, heartwarming answer will likely bring a tear to your eye.

“When all is said and done, which one role would you most like to be remembered for?” the gentleman asks her.

“Mother of my children,” the late actress responded.

At the end of the day, isn’t that what matters most? Family is everything, and we are all only given so much time with family members, so we must make the most of it.

James 4:14 “When you are not certain what will take place tomorrow. What is your life? It is a mist, which is seen for a little time and then is gone.”

When Facing False Accusations

In Genesis 39, Joseph’s faithfulness and integrity are tested in the fires of injustice. Betrayed by his brothers and enslaved in Egypt, Joseph continues to trust God and serve faithfully—even when falsely accused and thrown into prison. Yet through it all, “the Lord was with him.”

When Failure Becomes Victory

In Genesis 38, the story of Judah and Tamar reveals the depth of human failure—and the even greater depth of God’s grace. Judah’s choices lead to moral failure and shame, but God steps into the mess to bring redemption. Out of this broken story comes the lineage of the Messiah Himself.
