Journey Of Worship: 10 Years of SING

There are vacations.
There are pilgrimages.
And then there are journeys that somehow become both.
Each year, thousands of Christians from around the world descend on Nashville not simply to hear great music, but to join their voices in one of the most remarkable worship gatherings of our generation: Getty Music’s SING Conference. What began ten years ago as a vision from modern hymn writers Keith and Kristyn Getty has grown into an international movement dedicated to helping the Church recover rich, congregational worship rooted deeply in Scripture.
This year’s gathering marks several remarkable milestones all at once. SING celebrates its 10th anniversary, commemorates 500 years since William Tyndale’s English New Testament, and recognizes 250 years of American hymnody under the fitting theme, “Symphony of Scripture.” Throughout three unforgettable days, attendees will experience biblical teaching, practical ministry training, evening concerts, and the breathtaking sound of thousands of believers singing together accompanied by a full symphony orchestra.
I’ll have the privilege of experiencing it from a unique perspective.
Throughout the conference, I’ll be broadcasting live from “Backstage at SING,” bringing exclusive conversations with artists, speakers, pastors, hymn writers, and attendees. One of my favorite aspects of these events is discovering the stories most people never hear—the preparation before the lights come on, the friendships formed backstage, and the conversations that continue long after the final hymn has been sung.
The conference calls Nashville’s magnificent Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center home, and honestly, there couldn’t be a better venue. The resort is practically a destination unto itself. Nine acres of indoor gardens, cascading waterfalls, winding riverways complete with boat rides, dozens of restaurants, multiple atriums, luxurious guest rooms, and a world-class spa make it easy to spend an entire weekend without ever leaving the property. During SING, nearly everything happens under one roof, allowing attendees to move seamlessly from worship sessions to meals, fellowship, and concerts.
Of course, if you do slip away for an authentic Nashville evening, make it count.
Start with dinner at the legendary The Southern Steak & Oyster, where elevated Southern cuisine meets genuine Tennessee hospitality. Then head downtown to Lower Broadway, where live music spills from nearly every doorway. Whether you settle into the historic Ryman Auditorium for a concert, enjoy an evening at Station Inn in the Gulch for world-class bluegrass, or simply wander Broadway listening to musicians chasing their dreams, you’ll quickly understand why Nashville is still called Music City.
But here’s what makes SING different from any other conference.
You don’t simply leave informed.
You leave singing.
And those songs tend to follow you home—to your church, your family, and your daily walk with Christ.
If you’ve never attended, this may be the year.
Registration, hotel reservations, choir opportunities, and conference details are available through the official SING website. Whether you come alone, bring your worship team, or travel with your church, you’ll join believers from around the world who share one purpose: lifting their voices together in worship that is biblically rich, theologically deep, and joyfully sung. Sometimes the most meaningful trip you’ll ever take isn’t to see a place.
It’s to join a chorus.
