When voices come together in prayer, amazing things can truly happen. There is no doubt that prayer is powerful and the touching lyrics of 'When We Pray' from Tauren Wells is the perfect reminder.

Tauren originally hails from the Christian band Royal Taylor. In fact, The Recording Academy nominated Royal Tailor for “Best Contemporary Christian Music Album” twice - with 2011’s Black & White and 2014’s Royal Tailor. The group formed in college, but eventually, life pointed in other directions. The guys began to marry and start families. On June 21, 2017, Tauren took a huge leap of faith and stepped out to release a solo album, Hills And Valleys.
That move has landed Wells—who also serves as a pastor at Royalwood Church in Houston, Texas—into a position to tour with a diverse range of talent that crosses both styles and audiences; from Lionel Richie and Mariah Carey, to Chris Tomlin and (later this year) TobyMac.
His message? “I feel called to call greatness out of people,” he says. “If people have spoken a low expectation of someone’s life, I want to be the voice that raises the ceiling, makes them feel like they can do something great.”
The excitement and positivity are palpable not only in his talk but his music as well. Tauren’s energetic style plays on pop sensibilities with a heavy dose of urban appeal, likened to Bruno Mars, Maroon 5 and OneRepublic.
