Natalie Grant is Cancer-Free for One Year

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but for singer Natalie Grant, October raises a different awareness. October of 2018 marks one year that she has been cancer free.

Natalie gave the announcement on Facebook and Twitter; wishing to thank the Lord and for fans alike to get her through a tough time. “I’m just beyond grateful. God is so good and so faithful…and so many of you prayed for me, and just thank you…so so so many of you have even still checked in since that point, like ‘how are you doing, how are you feeling?’, and I just want to take a moment to thank you so much.”

Last year, Natalie took to social media to ask fans everywhere to pray for her as cancer was detected in her thyroid. Grant underwent surgery to remove half of her thyroid after two tumors were found in an ultrasound. The results of the surgery and pathology report revealed papillary thyroid cancer in two nodules in the right lobe of the thyroid. The report indicated that the cancer was fully encapsulated in the nodules and had not traveled any further into the surrounding tissue or neighboring lymph nodes.

This month, doctors’ reports gave Natalie the All-Clear; that not only does the singer not have any cancer, but her chances of getting any reoccurring episodes are as remote as those who have never had cancer in their lives.

This truly is reason to raise the praise!
