It’s already Christmas for Matt Redman as he informs fans that he’s in the studio working on a Christmas album. The artist who gave us institutional worship themes such as “Heart of Worship”, “Blessed Be Your Name”, and “Bless the Lord (10,000 Reasons)” seems the perfect focal point to take us into worship in the holiday season.

At the helm is CCM Producer Bernie Herms (who happens to be Natalie Grant’s husband); the album promises to have both holiday traditional favorites as well as new compositions that will have a worship flair to them.

A Christmas album isn’t the only thing Matt will be involved in. Later this summer, he will also be headlining the “10,000 Reasons Tour”, as well as intermittent dates with Chris Tomlin as part of Tomlin’s Worship in America Tour.

A key songwriter for today’s church and an active worship leader for the Passion conferences, Redman’s songs have been recorded by Chris Tomlin, Michael W. Smith, Jeremy Camp and more. Winning his first two GRAMMY awards from the powerful hit “10,000 Reasons (Bless The Lord),” the single later was certified RIAA gold, named ASCAP’s Christian Music Song of the Year and Billboard’s Top Christian Song.
