American Idol winner Trent Harmon returns with a powerful new chapter in his music journey, debuting his heartfelt single “Give Me Jesus” exclusively on Godtube Music ahead of his second Christian album release, arriving everywhere October 10.
After years of blending faith and artistry on the road, Harmon says this song carries special meaning:
“I’ve been waiting a long time to share this one. When I was out playing shows, I’d sometimes mix ‘Cover Me Up’ (Jason Isbell / Morgan Wallen) with the old spiritual ‘Give Me Jesus.’ It always felt like it brought everyone in the room together — country fans, church folks, and everyone in between. Now that little live moment has turned into something real.”
The recording captures the raw emotion and honesty that first won audiences over when Harmon took home the American Idol title in 2016 — but with a deeper purpose and a clear faith focus. “Give Me Jesus” blends his signature country-soul tone with worshipful reverence, creating a bridge between genres and hearts.
