David Leonard Releases New Album, 'Just Jesus'

Grammy-nominated songwriter, artist, and producer David Leonard has released his new album, Just Jesus. The project features 12 tracks, including the singles "God of This Place," "All Because of You," "I Believe It (The Life of Jesus)," "Keep the Light On," "Good Man," "By His Wounds," and the title track.
"God has always been and will always be the same. When I look back on my life, I see that He’s always been there," explains David Leonard about the album's inspiration. "Whether I’m in a season of wholeness or a season of desperation, that will never change. He’s calling us to look back and be reminded. The Lord has done great things, and we get to witness His work in our lives, to bask in the glory of what God has done. Everything else but His voice is just noise. We need Him to silence the noise in our lives. At the heart of everything, He wants a relationship with His kids."
This album was recorded in a secluded cabin in the woods, where Leonard envisioned creating a studio on location to capture the project in its most organic form. He gathered with close friends to create the sonic experience in a collaborative environment, recording the majority of the album together in the living room, bathroom, and even the closets of the cabin. The project was later refined and polished at Leonard’s Franklin studio, resulting in a truly authentic sound that captures his artistry.
Recently, he has been seen on tour with MercyMe, Newsboys, Josh Balwin, CAIN, and more.
