As America celebrates its 250th anniversary this year, an historic event, called "America Reads the Bible," is taking place April 18-25.
More than 400 Christian leaders, elected officials, and entertainers from across the United States will read the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation over our nation, in 7 days. The opening celebration will be live-streamed on April 18 at 7 PM Eastern from the National Community Church in Washington, D.C. The 90-minute program will be streamed on Great American Pure Flix.
Among the 425+ Christian politicians, leaders, and celebrities taking part in this campaign are notable Christian Music artists - including Colton Dixon, Skillet's John Cooper, Danny Gokey, Kim Walker-Smith, Meredith Andrews, and worship leaders Leeland Mooring, and Jennie Lee Riddle.
America Reads the Bible has named “Heal Our Land” by Phil King as its official worship anthem. King wrote the song “Heal Our Land” as a solemn prayer of intercession for America and worked with director Josh Franer to produce the visually stunning music video. Here is that video below.
