Colton Dixon Gets Gold for “Build A Boat”

Atlantic Recording Artist Colton Dixon has received his first RIAA Gold-Certification for his massive hit, “Build A Boat.”
The radio team from Dixon's label partner, Fairtrade Services, surprised Dixon during an interview with hundreds of fans sharing in the excitement. “Build A Boat” was the biggest song of 2022, holding the No. 1 spot for 11 weeks, and also receiving a Song of the Year nomination from GMA Dove Awards.
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) awards Gold certification to songs or albums that sell 500,000 units. Units can be records, tapes, or compact discs. The RIAA also considers digital and physical albums to be one unit each.
