Award-winning singer/songwriter and author Ellie Holcomb releases her fourth full-length studio album, Far Country (Capitol Christian Music Group). Ellie Holcomb’s fresh 11-song collection boasts expansive landscapes, vivid lyrics, and acoustic-grounded, pop-centric melodies. Far Country is an album for anyone who has ever felt lost.
“I wrote this record while searching for God in what felt like a desert and wrestling with questions,” explains Ellie Holcomb, who sewed the seeds of these songs with more tears than laughter and more questions than answers. “Far Country is really the story of encountering the spacious and expansive love of God in the wilderness of longing and sorrow and discovering that, as dry as the desert is, there are always reservoirs of love and peace right beneath our feet.”

Far Country is produced and engineered by Cason Cooley and executive produced by her dad, Brown Bannister, and Samantha Steele. Songwriters on the album include a powerhouse list, including Holcomb, Jason Ingram, Hank Bentley, Thad Cockrell, Jessie Early, Jon Guerra, Natalie Hemby, Kirby Kapel, Taylor Leonhardt, Latifa Morton, KS Rhodes, and Bear Rinehart.
