Carrie Underwood - There's A Place For Us (Chronicles of Narnia)

From the movie "Chronicles of Narnia". The movie has many Christian sentiments. The song reminds us that God made each of us uniquely, and that He has a unique plan for each and every one of us (Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you...plans to give you hope and a future.") I am also reminded of the words of Jesus shortly before His death (John 14:2 - "...I go to prepare a place for you..."). Yes, there is a place for us, for those who believe. What a comfort that is. Thank You, Lord.

Carrie Underwood - I'll Stand By You

I chose to interpret this as a Christian song, where I represents Jesus. I know I'll catch a lot of flak for that, but so be it. It's called artistic license. If anyone else wants to interpret it differently, fine, make your own video. Anyway, regardless of what this song is really about, the fact is that, yes, Jesus *will* stand by us, no matter what. He promised us that. In fact, his last words on this earth (until He returns) were in Matthew 28:20 - I am with you always, even to the end of the age. (BTW, the title slide says this song is from the movie "Lion King", but I think I am mistaken there. Sorry.)

Carrie Underwood - So Small

Sometimes life gets messy and complicated. But often it's a case of making a mountain out of a molehill. That's what this song is about. We need to keep leaning on our faith and in the end God will bring a happy ending. He has a reason for everything that happens in our lives. Romans 8:28 says "...in all things God works for the good of those who love him..." Thank you, Lord.

Keith Kristyn Getty - What Grace Is Mine

Everyone knows the song "Danny Boy", which is really a tune called "Londonderry Air". Many songs have been written using this same tune. Here is another one, written by Kristyn Getty, called "What Grace Is Mine". Arrangement by Rob Mathes. It's a song about God's wonderful grace and mercy. And about how we should respond to that wonderful gift. By the way, this song is from the fantastic album "Awaken The Dawn". Every song on the album is as good as this one. I highly recommend it.

Hell is a real place too.

Addison Road - This Little Light Of Mine

Every child remembers the song "This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine". This is a variation of that song by Addison Road. Such a delightful creation. Written by Addison Road, based on a passage from the sermon on the mount, Matthew 5:14-16:

"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven."

Sandi Patty - Faith Dancing

We all struggle. When we do there is one place we can always turn: lift our eyes to our God in heaven. That's what this song is about. Leaning on our faith and getting it "dancing". A wonderful song from a wonderful album by Sandi Patty, called "Edge Of The Divine". I can't recommend this album enough. It's much more edgy than Sandi's previous stuff, not that her previous stuff was not great, too, but this is a different and refreshing approach for her. I strongly urge everyone to check it out.

Song written by Gwen Smith, Sue Smith, and Barry Weeks.

Psalms 139

The other day I was pretty down but I read Psalms 139 and just was overcome with encouragement. So I made this video. Share it with anyone who is feeling depressed, low on self-confidence, or even just needs some encouragement. Enjoy :)
(Sorry if it's bad quality, It's my first video =D )
Comments are totally welcomed :)

Keith Kristyn Getty - Creation Sings The Father's Song

I love songs about creation. This is a wonderful one, written by Keith & Kristyn Getty and Stuart Townend, from the wonderful album 'Awaken The Dawn' (check it out, every song is a gem!) Thank you God for your marvelous creation, help us to keep our eyes open and appreciate it at all times.

Heather Williams - Hallelujah

A wonderful song written and performed by Heather Williams. Before you watch this video, check out her video that talks about the story behind the song. Here is the link:

I don't really need to say anything more, Heather's recounting of what led her to write this song says it all.

Lincoln Brewster/Darlene Zschech - The Power Of Your Name

A very creative and imaginative song by Lincoln. Near the beginning he had his grandmother play the piano. Then shortly after that the percussive beat is the sound of the heartbeat of his son Liam taken during a sonogram. Very cool, a multi-generational accompaniment team!

Darlene Zschech of Hillsong accompanies him here and does a wonderful job. They blend together nicely. Lincoln wrote the song along with Mia Fieldes of Hillsong fame.

Let Your kingdom come! By the power of Your name!

Rebecca St. James - Above All Things

She recorded this in 1994 at the age of 17. Beautiful job! The song was written by Eddie DeGarmo. Our God is indeed "above all things", isn't He?

No Greater Love

There's no greater love
than the love of Jesus.
There's no love that's wiser,
that's stronger, that lasts longer,
that's more willing or thrilling.
There's no love more beautiful,
more bountiful, more bold,
more basic and unbiased.
There's no love more caring,
more sharing, more
daring to risk all in danger
for sinner and stranger.
There's no love more gracious,
more giving, more living,
more sacred, more selfless,
more soul-satisfying,
more pure and undying.
There's no love more verifiable,
more valuable, more validating,
more victorious, more glorious.
There's no love more precious,
more costly, more kingly.
There's no love that's greater—
that's more wonderful, more wild,
more passionate, more powerful—
than the love of Jesus.

Amy Grant - Doubly Good To You

This is an oldie-but-a-goodie recorded by Amy Grant in 1984, written by the late Rich Mullins. Romanticism and thankfulness to God in the same song.

Lincoln Brewster - Real Life

The title song from Lincoln's 2010 album "Real Life". Co-written by Lincoln along with Mia Fieldes of Hillsong fame. Forgive me for seeming somewhat narcissistic here since I included a number of pictures of myself from my childhood, But the song is "Real Life", and these are pictures of my real life. Well, except for the ones about Alaska; I don't know what a "buoy raft" is, and I've never sailed on Kachemak Bay, and I've never run wild across Alaskan plains. Heck, I've never even been to Alaska! Anyway, just indulge me here. There are also some pictures of me in the middle that show me progressing from a baby to an "old man". Oh, and my dad is not in the pictures because he was the one taking them!

OK, but enough about me. Back to the song. A very well crafted song. The first verse talks about childhood memories and memories of a childhood home and taking it for granted. The second verse talks about raising a family and how life was good but it was taken for granted. And finally the

Kari Jobe - Savior's Here

I always have a hard time trying to decide who my favorite female Christian recording artist is. One day it might be Christy Nockels, the next day it might be Kim Walker, and the next day it might be Misty Edwards. Right now my favorite is Kari Jobe. This is a majestic song from Kari's new album "Where I Find You" (which I highly recommend). She wrote the song along with Cody Carnes, who also sings harmony vocals here. Hallelujah! Our God saves! When I listen to this song it makes me say "Wow, I'm so glad I'm a Christian!"

Easter Cardboard Testimonies

It takes a lot of courage to confess sins, and it is even more admirable to confess them to the masses. These brave Christians shared some of their darkest moments on cardboard testimonies, so that it renews our strength and gives us hope in Christ. Easter
is a wonderful reminder that our sins were washed away and forgiven by the blood that Jesus shed on the cross for us. Hallelujah! Cardboard testimonies from East 91st Street Christian Church in Indianapolis, IN
