No longer was "no cure for cancer" acceptable to Finn and Lene. They yearned to bring to Denmark the same healing power of Jesus they had experienced at Bethel in Redding. Having faced their own challenges, including divorce, and experiencing God's healing in their hearts and minds, they now dedicate their lives to ministering to others facing similar struggles. The world is a fallen and broken place, full of hurting and struggling people. No one would have a chance without Christ’s love, mercy, grace and forgiveness. We would all be destined for an eternity, lost and separated from Him, where there would be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a woman beautifully and powerfully explains the one thing we can do to please God. And because of our fallen nature, it’s not what we do but what Jesus Christ can and does for us.

“Like, I’ve met people who feel like, ‘Oh, my past is too crazy. I’m not good enough. I don’t know how Jesus can use me; how Jesus can love me,’” she said. “And the reality is none of us are, you know, in our own strength, in our own ability – none of us are good enough.”

Later in the clip, she mentions the Holy Spirit descending upon Jesus, what God said about His Son and how that relates to us today.

“And the Father said, ‘This is my Son in whom I am well pleased,’” she said. “Now, that moment was not just a random thing. It was that God the Father was revealing to humanity: the only way you can please me is in Him. This is the One who pleases me, and you cannot please me outside of Him.”

God sent His only Son and completely changed everything. Christ willingly went to the cross, suffered and died on our behalf. In doing so, He completely and forever won victory over sin, shame and death. We can be forgiven and experience eternal life because He was forsaken and broken for you and me.

Matthew 17:5 “While he was still talking, a bright cloud came over them: and a voice out of the cloud, saying, ‘This is my dearly loved Son, with whom I am well pleased; give ear to him.”

Experiencing the fullness of heaven begins with childlike faith. Trust, seek, and follow Jesus. One woman shared her journey of trying to complain less and trust God more. She mentioned that she has made a concerted effort to stop grumbling and whining about situations and circumstances and instead focus more on God’s plan. Everyone whines and complains at one point or another. It’s human nature to voice complaints whenever something is not going our way. We all want to go through life without any pain, struggles or worries, but unfortunately, that is not possible. That is a fact of life.

Situations will arise in life that we don’t like or appreciate, and they might even result in pain and discomfort. Often, circumstances are totally out of our control, and we just have to grin and bear it. But what would happen if we put more trust and faith in God instead of the default human response of grumbling and complaining?

In a clip posted on YouTube, one woman explained that she has really tried hard to do just that. She even mentions a specific instance where she reached out to Jesus Christ and said she was through with complaining. Instead, she was going to trust and rely upon Him and His plan.

“But I don’t want to look back on this season, and be, like, ‘I complained my whole way through this,’” she said. “Don’t want to do that. And so, I’ve been really intentional about being present. This is what God has me in.”

Later in the clip, she mentions the Israelites and their wandering in the desert for 40 years.

“And I do not want to end up like the Israelites,” she said. “Because I’m telling you right now what should have taken them 11 days took them 40 years. And sometimes, when we keep complaining, and we have that lack of faith, we stay stuck, and we’re prolonging what God has for us.”

Jelly Roll shared how his and Brandon Lake’s song “Hard Fought Hallelujah” is touching hearts. The popular musician mentioned what he hears from and how people have reacted to the hit song. The world is a sad, lonely and broken place. It’s full of people who are hurting and struggling, hoping for anything to alleviate the pain. Sadly, these individuals will hunt and search everywhere for a solution. They may find a temporary fix, but soon enough, the pain and the heartache are back again.

There is an answer to all that pain and suffering: Jesus Christ. His healing, comfort, forgiveness and love will never wear off or fade away. In a clip posted on YouTube, Jelly Roll and Brandon Lake discuss their song “Hard Fought Hallelujah.” In the short clip, Jelly Roll mentions how the song has impacted him and what he has continually heard from others.

“Like, everywhere I go, this is the song people are talking to me about right now,” Jelly Roll said. “It’s really cool, man, and I love the conversation it’s creating. Like, real conversations are being had online. Sometimes not fun, but sometimes great, right? It’s like, it’s like, here’s my deal: I think it’s our jobs, where in faith, to push that envelope anyways. Like those conversations needed to be created.”

Later in the clip, Jelly Roll says he knows how he and others are turning toward God in response to the song.

“But I can tell you what’s also happening is millions of people like me are finding a safe place right now in God,” he said. “You know what I mean? For sure, because I’m getting the messages that are like, ‘Yo, I’m like a fence-riding Christian, too. Like, I kind of believe. I grew up with some core values but kind of got away from it, and you make me feel safe being, like, talking about God again.’”

A stranger gave Hoda Kotb some powerful and moving advice. The former host of the Today Show was on a plane when she received some insightful words of wisdom from someone. Watch the short but powerful clip to hear what a stranger told Hoda.

Life is a series of unexpected events. We cannot and will not be able to predict what will happen from one moment to the next. Throughout life, there are instances and causes for celebration. Sadly, sometimes life will hurt and result in an immense amount of pain and suffering.

No one enjoys those painful and heartbreaking occurrences. But what if those times of terrible suffering and heartache are not just about and for us? What if they are for a greater purpose? The Bible says that in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him.  

That was the message that a stranger on a plane shared with Hoda. This person said that the difficulty and pain she was experiencing at the time were not just for and about her but could be used to help others. In a clip posted on social media, Hoda talked about her interaction with this stranger and the words of wisdom he shared with her.

She mentions that at the time, she was battling breast cancer and had just undergone a procedure. She was on a plane, sitting next to an individual who struck up a conversation with her. Eventually, after a lot of probing questions from the man, she shared that she had breast cancer and had undergone a mastectomy. She asked him not to just think of her as someone who had breast cancer.

What he said next shocked her.

“He said, ‘Breast cancer is part of you. Just like going to college and getting married and working at NBC,’” Hoda recalled. “He goes, ‘I’m going to give you some advice.’ “He said, ‘Don’t hog your journey. It’s not just for you. You can take your stuff and put it deep in your pockets and go to your grave, or you can help somebody. You decide.’”

Mattew was raised in church, raised by a father who was an unconventional preacher. He was baptized in junior high, full of faith and hope. But after high school, everything changed. One by one, he lost the people who meant the most to him - his grandfather, his grandmother, and then, most painfully, his mother. The weight of that grief pulled him into a spiral of alcohol and hard drugs, trying to numb what felt unbearable. in 2019, Matthew hit rock bottom with a near-fatal drug overdose. That was the moment his friends and family, heartbroken and desperate, gave him a choice: get clean and fight for your life, or lose us completely. By the grace of God, Matthew chose life. Now, five years sober, Mattew stands as a living testimony of redemption. He volunteers with a prison ministry, pouring his heart into others who feel lost just like he did. And through his story - his pain, his healing, and his faith - God has brought 20 souls to Christ.
