The Christmas season is one of the best times of the year. Many would argue, as a lot of Christmas songs state, that it is, in fact, the most wonderful, enjoyable and, yes, best time of the entire year. Making a convincing argument for any other season topping Christmas is quite challenging. The only possible thing Christmas has going against it is the cold, often frigid and freezing weather conditions that typically accompany the holiday season.

Christmas also includes some of our most cherished, precious annual family traditions. This is yet another thing that helps to bolster the argument that Christmas is the best time of the year. One of those many annual traditions includes parents taking their young children to see the large, jolly, fat man decked out in red from head to toe: Santa Claus. Children love visiting Santa and informing him of their long, detailed Christmas list, complete with wants and desires.

A clip posted on YouTube captures a family informing a young girl that they will soon be visiting Santa. However, instead of outright telling her who they will be seeing momentarily, the man behind the camera describes the person and wants her to figure it out. But when it comes time for her to guess who the person is based on the clues and details she’s given, her answer is surprising, to say the least.

“He’s got gray hair, kinda white hair. White hair,” the man behind the camera says. “He’s got a really big belly. He’s married and he’s got pet reindeer. Who do you think we’re going to visit?”

She had an answer, but it wasn’t what anyone was expecting.

“Uncle Raymond,” the little girl responds.

I’m not sure Uncle Raymond would have appreciated that, but it’s still pretty hilarious either way.

A youngster denied eating powdered donuts, but the evidence on his face tells an entirely different story. He wanted his mother to believe he did not get into the donuts, but he left some pretty incriminating evidence behind. Lying is not a good practice, which often grows and grows, eventually spiraling out of control. How can you trust someone who is a habitual liar? Of course, you cannot. Once someone is branded a liar, that's a hard reputational stain to remove. For instance, consider how most of society looks down upon politicians and lawyers for that very thing.

Even though it can be difficult and even painful at times, telling the truth rather than a lie is always the best route. Lying destroys relationships and trust, while staying committed to telling the truth will improve and strengthen those ties and bonds.  

In a clip posted on YouTube, a young man sincerely pleads that he did not get into the powdered donuts as instructed. He looks into the camera with a straight face (and dirty face) and pleads his innocence. No, he did not have any donuts, he insists. Hilariously, the powdered sugar around his lips indicates that he is not being truthful.

Knowing he isn't telling the truth, the young man's mother orders him to look in the mirror and return. Once he returns from peering into the reflective surface, she asks him the same question, but this time, he has a slightly different answer.

"How many did you eat?" she asks him again.

"One," the little guy now confesses.

I understand entirely. Donuts are hard to resist, but the truth is always better than a lie. Even the smallest, seemingly most insignificant lie can hurt and damage relationships.

Unfortunately, we all have problems and issues. We live in a fallen, imperfect and broken world, and so, we have troubling circumstances and situations that arise now and then. No matter how good someone’s life may appear from the outside looking in, no one’s life is perfect.

Most people, when encountering a problem, do their best to keep their heads down and muscle through it. Typically, people don’t shout what is troubling them from the rooftops and demand it be fixed immediately. Rightly or wrongly, we quietly try to handle it ourselves. However, for some reason, some people do want others to know every time they are unhappy about this or that or have an issue with something (thanks social media!).

Exasperated as a result of the situation, she loudly voices her problem, making sure all are aware of what is going on and that she is not pleased. Near the end of the video, the young woman indicates that if things are not fixed promptly, she will be forced to make things much worse.

“They put me on the wrong bus!” the little one angrily says as she walks up a flight of steps.

Unfortunately, as she continued, she explained that the bus took her back to school. That’s when she added the school called and said, “Oh, she’s on the wrong bus!”

She is assured that things will be better tomorrow. She is pleased to hear that but does issue a stern warning if it happens again.

“If they send me on the wrong bus tomorrow, it’s going to be a bad situation,” she says.

A little one was all packed up and hilariously added detergent to the mix. She apparently had someone to go, holding a bag in one hand and a box of detergent in the other. Being a parent is arguably one of the most challenging things someone can do. A ton of responsibilities and obligations come with having a little one entering your home and life. There is this and that to do. The child needs this. They must have that, and everything else in between.

While all the responsibilities, obligations and stress of being a parent are true, it is also an incredibly gratifying endeavor. No decent parent would ever say that they wish they had not become a parent. Children make our lives better in every possible way imaginable, which includes all the love and laughter they add to our lives.

The little girl is on her way to some place, as you can tell by what she is carrying in and around her arms. She made sure to grab only the essentials. She has a bag around her right arm, and in her left hand, she holds detergent.

Before she sets off on her journey, the child is stopped and asked an all-important question.

“Where are you going?” the woman behind the camera asks the child. “You packed a bag, and you got detergent. What are you doing? Are you leaving?

The child attempts to explain her situation, but her explanation is indecipherable. She finally says that she is going “bye-bye.”

In addition to the odd combination of things in her possession, the child is planning to go “bye-bye” without shoes on her feet.

Nearly everyone has a cell phone, and at this point, it’s basically become an extension of our hands. We are addicted to those little devices and are constantly on them. Whether scrolling through our feed on one of the many popular social media platforms, surfing the web or typing out text, we all have our faces buried in our phones most of the time. We cannot get away from them.

Today, phones are used for nearly everything. We look up the forecast, check the traffic on the interstate and use it to capture special events by using its cutting-edge camera to take pictures. It’s used for nearly every activity imaginable except for what it was initially intended to do: call someone on it. Instead of phone calls, everyone fires off a quick series of texts. I get it; it’s much faster and more convenient to text than to make a phone call.

However, some rules regarding texting need to be abided by and understood. In a clip posted on YouTube, a young man tries to explain these rules to his parents. He was so serious about telling his parents what they should and should not do when texting that he even created an entire PowerPoint presentation. That’s pretty impressive work right there, and given how much time he put into it, they likely took his words to heart.

Children can be a handful, which every parent knows and understands. Those little ones are full of energy and will quickly wear you down. They can also get on your last nerve with their rambunctious behavior. On top of all that, children tend to be messy. It does not matter what it is, children will find a way, through some kind of otherworldly magic, to make a mess out of anything and everything. It’s really a mystifying talent and gift when you think about it.

When he arrived at the scene, he encountered quite a sight. It turned out the child had gotten into her mother’s makeup and then, grabbing a tube of lipstick, started to get to work, creating a mess. She had lipstick on her face, hands and even on the walls. Somehow, she managed to avoid getting it on her clothes.

What a sweet and funny sight!

Also, Dad was a good sport, understanding that children tend to do this sort of thing. He was not upset about it in the slightest.

Human beings are creatures of habit. We love our routines and everyday tasks. Routines and habits are comforting and familiar, making us feel safe and as if we have some control over our lives. They make us feel good and let us know what to expect.

However, things can get bad when those routines and habits are even slightly disrupted. People can get confused, all turned around and completely discombobulated. Dad explains that he had to shave his beard for work, but the little guy is not satisfied with that answer and asks why several times. He seems genuinely confused and concerned about his father’s new look and eventually walks out of the room.

Everyone likes a good joke and having a reason to laugh. Laughter and humor are universally enjoyed. Can you even think of someone who does not enjoy comedy or a good laugh? Comedy comes in many different shapes and forms. There is literally a type of comedy for every taste and preference. So, no matter what you happen to find humorous, there is bound to be something for you. In the clip, a teacher sets aside time every school day to tell a joke, which she calls the "joke of the day." Every one of her jokes is always one that you'd likely hear a dad say. As always, she gives the students opportunities to figure out the joke before she provides the punchline. This time, she received a handful of really clever and witty responses from the kids, which shows how intelligent children are. While the kids did not guess the punchline 100 percent correctly, some got extremely close with their hysterical responses.

Tiny competitors shared an adorable moment on the playing field. The youngsters were in the middle of a heated, competitive game when they engaged in an unexpected and sweet display of sportsmanship. We’re constantly told that competition is good and necessary. When people are forced to compete against one another, their best is always the result. Competition is healthy. The cream always rises to the top. The best person or team will win out in the end.

Those are just some of the clichés often heard when someone discusses and comments on competition. But are they true? It would seem that competition frequently brings out the worst in many people—competitors, coaches and fans. Look at how horribly fans treat one another simply because they support different teams. Players and coaches, when a call doesn’t go in their favor, will lose their minds and go berserk on the referees, blaming them if the eventual outcome is a loss. Sportsmanship and simply acting like a decent human being far too often go out the window. 

However, a clip posted on social media shows two youngsters who shared a sweet and loving embrace in the middle of a soccer game. They exhibited what it means to be a good sport and to be concerned for your fellow competitors.

In the clip, a group of youngsters is kicking around a soccer ball, trying to get it to go in one direction. A little girl wearing a blue uniform attempts to kick the ball downfield, but it doesn’t go as planned. Her reaction shows that she’s upset that her efforts did not work, and she stops playing immediately. A girl on the other team stops and gives her a warm and loving embrace. She even appears to kiss her on the cheek and then gives her another hug.

What a sweet display that reminds us to keep things in perspective regarding sports and competition.

Screens consume, in one way or another, a lot of our time. Most people spend a good chunk of their waking hours gazing into and staring at screens. There are computer monitors, television screens and, of course, the trusty cell phone. Cell phones have become essentially an extension of our hands at this point. If we go longer than 10 minutes without checking our phones, most people get a little anxious, wondering if they are missing something important.

Because we're so addicted to screens, it's always a good idea to get out and get away from them, even if for just a short time. We'll discover a whole world if we raise our heads long enough and look in front of us. A wedding ceremony is a big, important moment for every couple. The lives of those individuals standing at the altar in front of their family, friends and God as they vow to remain with one another until death do them part will never be the same after that ceremony. They are no longer two; as the Bible states, they become one.

With so much importance attached to a wedding ceremony, it makes sense that someone would want theirs to be perfect. Because of that, planning a wedding can and does take some time. Every detail, no matter how seemingly small or insignificant, must be thought out, planned for and considered. Baseball is America’s pastime, right? Personally, I find watching a game of baseball to be one of the most boring things on Earth. Watching paint dry after it’s been slathered upon a surface offers many more thrills and excitement than a nine-inning baseball game. Golf, as slow and boring as it is, might even provide spectators with a better viewing experience than a baseball game.

Nevertheless, despite the incredibly slow nature of the game, people still regularly attend baseball games. At those games, people will pick themselves up various treats (perhaps eating is a way for them to stay awake at a baseball game?).  In addition to hot dogs, nachos and pizza, popcorn is another fan favorite when it comes to the concession stand. In a clip posted on social media, a young man was spotted at a baseball game enjoying a bag of popcorn. He literally throws himself headfirst into it.

In the video, the little guy is spotted holding a massive, overflowing bag of popcorn at a Seattle Mariners and Athletics game. The container of popcorn is about as big as he is. However, he does not let the size or the amount of popcorn intimidate him. He attacks the bag fearlessly and confidently, making for quite the spectacle.

As the video shows, the child has his entire face buried in the bag of popcorn as he scarfs down those popped kernels. Given his diminutive size and how much popcorn he has, going in face-first was probably the best way for him to go at it. Either way, it was still incredibly hilarious and cute!

This little chef has no patience for customers who do not pay attention, and it's hilarious. Anyone who goes into this tiny restaurateur's establishment had better read the menu closely or else. It's always been said that "it's the little things that matter." Another frequently used phrase is that "it's the details that will get you." Someone who pays close attention to and adheres to the details will likely have a better experience with, well, everything.

But honestly, if you’re eating at a place that serves any of those things, it seems like a mistake was made in choosing that restaurant in the first place.

The customer has a question about what she is about to be served. She confesses that she thought it would be one entire dish, but the tiny chef corrects her and says it will actually be two items.

The child's annoyed look because she had to correct her customer's big mistake is hilarious. Clearly, this young lady does not live by the old saying that the "customer is always right." She knew the customer was wrong and had no issues righting the customer.

Siblings, especially young children, fight a lot and often very loudly. Parents with two or more little ones know how much they disagree and argue. The video begins with the child stating how she is fully aware that if you’re watching her video, she understands that today may not have been the best day of your life.

“Now, I know today has been a rough day for you,” she said. “But I am going to calm you down. Listen to this”

She then turns on a toy that plays music, which she believes is soothing and helpful in calming frayed nerves.

Next, as the toy continues playing its mellow, calming tunes, she leads everyone in a breathing exercise in which she directs when to breathe in and when to exhale.

“We take right here,” she says. “We close our eyes and take some deep breaths.”

Whether her method is effective or not is beyond the point. She highlights that stress and worry are significant problems, and we should all find ways of dealing with them that work for us. This could be reading, breathing exercises, fishing or something else entirely.

A group of children gave their funniest and cutest answers when trying to figure out the punchline to their teacher’s joke. The youngsters attempted to figure out the funny, clever brain teaser, and the results are hilarious. It seemed that immediately after the teacher finished reading the brain teaser, the children raised their hands, ready and willing to give their best guesses.

The first child answered, “The Peekaboo Hospital,” which seems like a very logical and straightforward answer. If there is a place that specializes in peekaboo injuries, you’d most certainly want to be taken there if you were involved in a peekaboo accident. Unfortunately, that was not the correct answer.

Another child said, “At the peak of a mountain.” While this was clever wordplay, it was not what the teacher was looking for.

At the end of the clip, one child does give her the proper answer: The I-C-U. Get it? It’s very much a dad joke, but still pretty funny.

Technology is constantly improving and expanding, reaching and impacting more areas of our lives all the time. Those technological advancements that we all use and rely upon can literally be seen all around us. They are in the kitchen, the living room and outside our houses in the form of those popular Ring doorbell cameras. They are also everywhere we go, securely in our pocket or, more than likely, in the palm of our hand – the smartphone.

Amazon's Alexa is one of the more recent pieces of modern technology everyone seems to have. In a clip posted on YouTube, a little girl desperately tries to get Alexa to do what she wants. Hilariously, the 2-year-old child doesn't have much luck, but she refuses to give up and let the machine win.

She begins by ordering Alexa to tell her a joke, which she has to say three times before the device responds. Eventually, Alexa responds and tells a joke that most certainly went over the young child's head.

Despite the struggle to get Alexa to comply with her joke-telling demand, the child is undeterred and forges on, continuing to interact with the machine.  Next, she has a very specific song that she would like to hear immediately. But that does not go well. Alexa gets the song title wrong and claims to have not heard of the song, "Body and My Keys."

The child and Alexa go back and forth until the child finally gets the device to fulfill another one of her requests.

This video proves once again that technology is great as long as it works as intended.

A dog and toddler’s playtime turned into unexpected comedy gold. The little one inadvertently played an adorable and hilarious prank on the canine and himself. Watch the short but hysterical clip to see what the little one did during playtime that had him and the dog thoroughly and utterly baffled.

There isn’t anything much cuter in this world than a little one outside exploring their environment. That’s especially true when they are just learning to walk and are still in that wobbly, slightly unstable phase where a harsh gust of wind will knock them to the ground. They may be confident in where they want to go and do, but their body isn’t quite sure just yet. You can never be totally sure what the child will do or how they will react.

Now, add a dog to that scenario, and you have what is, without a doubt, the cutest scene possible. You’d better have the camera ready to go because anything cute or funny could occur at any moment, and it often does. A clip posted on YouTube proves this to be completely accurate.

In the video, a toddler and a dog are outside playing. The little one, clearly still learning this whole walking thing, holds a tennis ball in his right hand. The family’s dog, a Black lab, excitedly moves around in front of the child. The animal can hardly contain itself as it waits for the youngster to throw the ball. But that’s when things don’t go as expected for the dog or the little boy.

With the ball still in his right hand, the child winds up as he prepares to throw it for the excited pup. However, as he does, the ball slips out of his hand and sits on the top of his hood. The dog and the child are perplexed, wondering where the tennis ball could have gone.

Proverbs 22:6 “If a child is trained up in the right way, even when he is old, he will not be turned away from it.”

A child gave her mother a note and instructed her on how to read it. Although the note may have been a little tricky to decipher, the youngster knew exactly what she meant and how she wanted her mom to interpret it. Handwriting is a lost art. Thanks to all the advances in technology, and the many electronic ways we communicate with one another – email, text, instant message, etc. – no one actually writes anything by hand anymore. When was the last time you received a handwritten note or letter? This might require some time, as you’ll likely have to ponder for a while before coming up with that answer.

Today, we typically only have to sign our names and have no reason to write anything else. That might be for the best anyway. Have you seen how some people sign their names? It’s completely unreadable.

A clip posted on YouTube shows how a young lady communicated with her mother. Since she couldn’t access any electronic devices, she had to resort to the good old-fashioned handwritten note, which made for one of the most hilarious moments/notes you’ll ever encounter. The child is not yet able to spell, except for her name.

The camera shows the note, which begins with the child’s name and is followed by a host of indecipherable markings. It very much looks like hieroglyphics, and the ancient Egyptians probably would have been very pleased. However, since we no longer use that form of communication, her note is a bit difficult to read.

Luckily, the young woman gives her mother a hysterical way to interpret her note.

“Pretend that, that it’s something that’s mean,” she says to her mom.

“Pretend this says something mean?” Mom asks.

“Yeah, about cleaning up,” the child responds.

“’Cause you don’t want to clean up?” Mom says.

“Yeah,” the child confirms.

At least she cleared that up, right?

An adorable toddler busted out the dance moves and stole hearts in the process. The youngster showed off her surprisingly nimble and fancy footwork. Watch the short but oh so precious clip to see the child’s cute dance steps.

When it comes to dance, there are a seemingly endless number of them. For instance, there’s breakdancing, the polka, the waltz, the flamenco, interpretive and the jitterbug, and that short list only scratches the surface. Given the insane number of different types of dances, it’s clear that dance is an activity everyone of any age can do. But should everyone dance? That is the real question, and the obvious answer, of course, is no.

Just because you might find yourself on a dancefloor does not mean you should attempt to display your moves or lack thereof. Someone who does not know what they are doing when it comes to dance is a painful sight for everyone involved. Just leave it to the professionals. Stop and back away slowly from the dance floor!

A clip posted on YouTube shows a 2-year-old having the time of her life as she showed off her impressive dance steps. Not only does she clearly have some fancy footwork, but she even managed to find a dance partner, even if it was a most unusual one.

In the video, while at a county fair in California, the child had a bit of fun with a red, inflatable, blow-up thing, an item which is typically found at large car dealerships. The child hilariously mimicked the inflatable’s movements as it swayed back and forth, and bent over, nearly touching the ground. Somehow she managed to keep up, impressing everyone with her cute dance routine.

She was having the time of her life as she and her inflatable dance partner swayed back and forth, showing their moves for all to see. What an absolutely adorable scene!
