Actor Steve Carell's heartwarming and sweet move convinced a child that a cartoon character is real.

As every parent will agree, childhood goes by entirely too fast. Blink, and that baby you just brought home from the hospital is walking. Do it again, and they are starting kindergarten. A few moments later, they are graduating from high school, backing out of your driveway and headed off to college.

However, for some children, childhood may end even sooner, and it has nothing to do with their age. Childhood is meant to be a time when children invent and use their imagination, often believing that fictional characters are real (Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, The Tooth Fairy, etc.) Sadly, many children are forced to grow up too soon and are told that those characters do not actually exist.

What's wrong with letting children be children?

Well, in a clip posted on social media, Steve Carell shared how he was able to let a child be a child by simply leaving a voicemail. Steve voices Gru from the wildly popular "Despicable Me" and "The Minions" films. A friend of his asked if he would leave a message for their child as Gru.

After leaving the message, in which Gru hopes the child has a "terrible birthday" and reminds him to "be a good kid and brush your teeth," the youngster had the sweetest response.

Steve told Jimmy Fallon that the next day, the child's mother told him that the young man responded after hearing Gru's message by saying, "Mom, see? He's real!"

Being kind doesn't require us to do much of anything. Steve leaving that message for the child probably took only a couple of minutes of his time.

Steve added that the child's adorable reaction to Steve's message as Gru is, "Like, that's the coolest thing."

Good, healthy and strong relationships are necessary for proper functioning and thriving in society. Knowing that there is someone or even multiple people you can count on when things become overwhelming and unbearable is invaluable. Those people can help ease your concerns and burdens and offer encouragement.

Having friends is necessary at all ages and stages of life—childhood, teenage years and adulthood. Friendships make life a much fuller and richer experience in every way imaginable. However, as one hilarious clip demonstrates, having too many friends may lead to unforeseen problems, forcing one to make difficult decisions.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a young man referred to as Jack of the South mentions that he has three birthday party invites—two he already has and one is coming soon. He says this to his younger sister, who is strapped in the car seat beside him.

Sadly, Jack won't be able to attend all of the birthday parties. Hard decisions will have to be made, but Jack has a plan and a course of action for how to proceed.

“But I’mma choose which one I want,” the little guy says. “I’mma choose which birthdays I want from William and Leyland ‘cause they on the same day. So, I’mma choose.”

Between his two buddies who have caused this unfortunate planning situation, Jack knows whose party he will be attending.

“And I’m guessing William ‘cause he’s the one that got the invitation,” he says.

In the video's opening moments, Jack also tried to explain to his sister whose party she might be able to crash and who is likely to frown about her attendance at their party.

Most people of all ages would love to have Jack’s problem. He has so many friends and people who care about him that they all want him to attend their party.

An adorable young man excitedly recalled a hilarious story about when he was outside and spotted a “wabbit.”

Children are precious gifts and blessings from the good Lord. Anyone lucky enough to become a parent knows just how blessed they are to add a child to their home and family. Children enrich our lives. They add so much joy, love and happiness to every parent’s life.

Watching children grow, learn about and explore the world before them is one of the greatest joys for a parent. They experience new sights, sounds and smells daily. Sometimes, those new experiences can lead to hilarity, with children reacting in odd or amusing ways as they process something they’ve never or rarely encountered.

A clip posted on social media shows a young man telling quite the story. He excitedly and hysterically explains how he came across a strange and exotic animal: a “wabbit.” It’s an animal that he and Elmer Fudd are very familiar with.

“I first got up here with my bike,” the little guy says. “I was going super, like a hundred miles per hour, and guess what?”

“I seen a wabbit right by the sidewalk,” he adds.

The young adventurer states that he watched the animal chowing down on something, but he couldn’t quite determine what it was eating. Though, he did get a good look at the animal.

“It was a big, fat wabbit,” the hilarious young man says.

When asked if he was able to capture the animal, he lowers his head as if he’s upset and disgusted with himself for not catching the “wabbit.” Sadly, it was “too dang hard to catch.”

What a sweet young man whose serious nature and sincerity in the retelling of his story make this short clip adorable and hilarious. Also, this video is an excellent reminder to watch for “wabbits.”

Sometimes, the most entertaining moments happen right at home. This was certainly the case when a mom captured an adorable scene with her 4-year-old son, who was caught hard at work under his toy truck, pretending to be a mechanic. Armed with a toy drill and a few other toy tools lying around, the little boy was found underneath his blue truck, listening to his favorite song. The chilly weather didn't deter him; he just bundled up in his hoodie and jacket, lying on the cold concrete to get to the "issue" with his toy vehicle.

The young mechanic worked diligently, his tiny hands moving with the seriousness of a seasoned professional, all while listening to Morgan Wallen. His dedication was evident, and his serious expression contrasted humorously with his small size and the playful nature of his task. Weddings are beautiful and heartwarming, usually bringing tears to many people’s eyes. It’s a life-changing moment, a ceremony when two people in love vow to remain together no matter what life may throw at them. What isn’t to love about weddings?

Most people want to get married, but finding the right person can take some time. Dating is a trial-and-error process that can be painful and also bring people to tears. Understanding how difficult it can be to find Mr. or Mrs. Right, people will take all the help they can get, even if it’s purely ceremonial and superstitious.

A short but hilarious clip on social media shows how far some people are willing to go to find the person of their dreams.  The 30-second clip starts with the bride, with her back to a group of 15 people or so, standing on the steps of what is likely the church she just said “I do” in.

Seconds later, with a strong throw, the bride sends her bouquet flying into the air. However, the bride’s heave is a little too strong for those intending to catch the flowers. The bouquet goes over most of the crowd and lands in the hands of a young man, standing at the back of the group.

Apparently, the little guy knew the significance of tossing and catching the bouquet because he headed in the other direction as soon as it landed in his hands. It’s a good thing that seemed to be his plan of action because he has several women who immediately give chase to the little guy and his flowers.

One woman gives it a few steps and decides to call it quits. However, one young woman is pretty persistent. She runs until he gets too far ahead of her. Once that woman quits, another woman runs after the young man but eventually falls.

Who knew the bouquet at a wedding was that important to single women?

Elected officials have a difficult job. Typically, for every decision made or vote taken, those officials will likely anger some portion of their constituency. But what are politics and government if many people aren’t upset about something? How would 24-hour news channels be able to stay on the air otherwise?

Because the decisions and the votes that elected representatives make impact people’s lives, they must be terrific communicators. They must be able to explain their reasoning and rationale for their decision on this or that issue.

One of the best and most effective ways politicians and government officials express their thoughts and decisions is through televised speeches. Well, that’s exactly what one member of the House of Representatives was doing recently. But no one was likely paying attention to a word he said.

Behind Congressman John Rose of Tennessee sat his son, who stole the spotlight from his father. In a clip posted on YouTube, the little guy spotted the camera, leaned over and started entertaining those who were watching.

The young man made a series of hilarious and unexpected faces at the camera. His hysterical antics clearly show that he had absolutely no interest in what his father was saying. He found a way to have some fun in what was probably an incredibly dull and dreadful experience for the little guy.

Most adults don’t have the attention span or even care to listen to an elected official drone on and on about this or that topic and issue. Can you imagine how a child would feel if they had to do that? Most would do something like the young man in the clip.

A young man gave his thoughts and a heartwarming explanation of how God answers prayer.

Reading the Bible and immersing oneself in God’s Word is essential for every follower of Jesus Christ. That holy text will strengthen our knowledge and understanding of God, His Son and the Holy Spirit. Also, like everything else, the more we read the Bible, the more we’ll understand and be drawn closer to Him. 

Reading the Bible is an essential and necessary activity for all Christians. However, the most important thing any follower of Jesus Christ can do is to pray. Prayer is communicating and conversing with the Creator of the universe. Prayer will strengthen your relationship with God, and most people will present their requests to Him during those conversations.

However, sometimes it can feel like God is ignoring us or that maybe He didn’t hear our prayer request. It may even leave us wondering if God still answers prayer. In a clip posted on YouTube, one young man provides a sweet and heartwarming explanation for how and when God answers prayer.

“I said boo boos don’t go away; they go away when they want to,” he said. “Just like God don’t answer your prayers right away.”

The child adds that God works on His timeline and calendar, not ours.

When the little guy is asked who taught him about God’s method and timeline when answering prayer, he responds equally cutely. He stated that no one gave him this kernel of knowledge and insight but that he understands this simply because he is brilliant.

Continually asking the Lord for something and not seeing any change or movement on that request can become frustrating. However, as this boy reminds us, God has His timing and way of doing things that we must remember. His timing is perfect, and ours is not.

When Boyd and Giselle set out to teach their toddler, Luca, how to jump, they thought it would be a breeze. But their toddler’s failed but hysterical attempts to jump will leave you laughing! Little did they know, they were in for a hilariously bumpy ride that would leave them in stitches and Luca in fits of giggles.

Their TikTok video documenting the jumping saga quickly went viral with over 5.2 million views, showcasing the side-splitting spectacle of Luca's attempts to master the art of leaping. A hospital had a baby named Johnny Cash and one named June Carter born on the same day to two different families at their facility.

Country music has some of the world's most passionate and committed fans. They will travel for hours to see and hear their favorite musician in concert. But more importantly, say anything, even one negative word about a country music legend, and you’ll likely find yourself in a world of hurt.

Country music fans will likely get fairly upset if you express a negative opinion about Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Tammy Wynette, Waylon Jennings or George Jones. However, despite all those legends, there seems to be one that stands out amongst the rest: Johnny Cash. The Man in Black enjoyed an illustrious career that spanned decades and included dozens of classic and beloved tunes.

A clip posted on YouTube shows that one family must be huge Johnny Cash fans. They found a unique way to honor the “Ring of Fire” singer. They named their child Johnny Cash.  

But that’s not all. 

Whenever someone talks about Johnny Cash, they often include his equally talented musician wife, June Carter Cash. Well, at the same hospital, on the same day baby Johnny Cash was born, a baby named June Carter entered the world to another family. 

Oddly enough, the two families did not know one another before the births.

“This is just crazy. I was very shocked. I was so excited when I found out,” said Sophie, the mother of baby June Carter. 

Nicole, the mother of baby Johnny Cash, said she hopes to stay in touch with Sophie and baby June Carter.

“I’m very excited about staying friends and making opportunities for these guys to spend time together and grow up together,” Nicole said.

The world is funny, and you can never be too sure what will happen!

Psalm 127:3 “See, children are a heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.”

A young man gave a side-splitting and absolutely hysterical explanation for why he abides by the “ladies first” rule.

Everyone would be much better off if we exhibited more kindness, care and respect for each other. Exhibiting a little common courtesy doesn’t require any extraordinary talent or skills. All that is needed is a slight concern for someone else's well-being and some extra time. 

One common way to display courtesy, kindness and respect is through chivalry. Of course, chivalry is how men are supposed to treat women – pulling out their chairs, holding doors and offering them their coats. When holding a door for a woman, a man will often say, “Ladies first,” as he exhibits a little common decency. 

Children are never too young to start learning how to treat one another. They are picking up things at a shockingly young age, so it is best to show them the right way, mainly how a boy is supposed to treat a young lady.

In a clip posted on Facebook, a little boy opened the door for a woman, and as he did, he said, “Ladies first.” But when asked why he held the door and said, “Ladies first,” the little guy gives a hilarious explanation for his actions.

Liam, the child in the video, says he heard that saying and got his explanation from someone named Hank.

“Hank says, “Ladies first,” because the ladies don’t have much patience,” Liam says. “The gentlemen do. The gentlemen have, have lots of patience.”

I’m not quite sure that is entirely true in all cases. Some people seem more patient than others, regardless of gender. But either way, it’s still adorable and funny. How could you watch that short 20-second clip and not burst out into laughter?

A little girl had an honest and hilarious reaction when a street performer started playing and singing the popular children’s song “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.”

Everyone has their tastes, preferences, likes and dislikes. No two people will have the same set of likes and dislikes. That’s part of what makes us individuals and uniquely created. How boring would it be if everyone liked the same food, vacation spots, sports teams and movies/television shows? 

However, even when we’re eating food, listening to a song or watching a movie we don’t particularly like, we can still act tactfully. We soften our comments, expressions and reactions. Our candid and unfiltered reactions might hurt someone else’s feelings. 

Adults understand the need to act this way from time to time. Children, on the other hand, do not. Children are the most honest people on Earth. They will tell you exactly what they think or feel about something. Most have not developed a filter between their thoughts and the words that come from their mouths. This can lead to painfully awkward and hilarious situations.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a young man gave her honest reaction to a street performer singing and playing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.” 

Spoiler alert: Her reaction to the musical performance wasn’t positive.

The short, minute-long clip with the young lady standing nearby and listening to a man who performs another favorite of children: “Baby Shark.” 

She silently watches the performer as he plays and sings the tune. There’s really no reaction to the man’s rendition of “Baby Shark.” She does dance around slightly, likely indicating her approval of that cover.

But things change rather quickly and hilariously so.

About halfway through the clip, the man starts playing and singing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.” A few seconds pass, and then the little girl gives her assessment. She actually plugs her ears and turns away from the street performer.

Her unexpected reaction causes several in the crowd to laugh, including the musician.

Everyone's a critic, even children, it seems.

One little girl turned in an absolutely hilarious dinner-eating performance.

God constantly and consistently demonstrates His love for us in the many ways He touches and blesses our lives. As great as His gifts and blesses are, most people would completely agree that His greatest blessing is children and making us parents. 

Whether through giving birth or adoption, welcoming children in your home will forever change your life. They add so much joy and love to life. Yes, they can aggravate and wear down your nerves and energy, but there is nothing like being a mother or a father. 

Children are also fascinating. Because they are still learning and growing, they will do some things that will have you doubled over with laughter. They usually have an interesting way of looking at and doing boring everyday things, like eating dinner.

A video posted on YouTube shows a young woman taking an interesting approach to dinner. She wanted to fool her parents into thinking she had eaten dinner. Her method was unconventional, to say the least. 

The short clip shows the child, Cali, sitting in a highchair with a plate in front of her and a fork with food in her hand. The young woman hoped to get through dinner quickly and enjoy some dessert, which would be ice cream.

Hoping to fool her parents into believing she was eating her meal, the young woman pretends to bite and ingest the food on her fork. She even bobs her head up and down, acting as if she is enjoying a meal she is not eating.

It’s unclear if the child was able to fool her mother and father successfully or not. But from her mother’s prodding and encouragement in the clip, I’m guessing that mom was not deceived. 

However, it was still hilarious and was worth a shot, especially for ice cream.

A father and daughter absolutely nailed their lip sync and faux-singing performance of Elvis Presley’s “All Shook Up.”

Elvis Presley is an iconic and legendary figure. He was a multi-talented star who starred in a handful of memorable films and produced dozens of classic songs. He also radiated charisma in such a way that few other entertainers ever have before or since. 

Despite passing away in the late 1970s, Elvis continues to be a massive figure in entertainment. His songs are widely heard, played and covered. According to the estate's website, his mansion in Memphis, Tennessee, Graceland, attracts more than 500,000 visitors every year. It’s clear that people remain fascinated by the late Elvis Aaron Presley.

In a clip posted on YouTube, the father-daughter duo, Ben and Zara, put on their best Elvis jumpsuit and lip sync to one of The King of Rock and Roll’s biggest hits, “All Shook Up.”

I’m all shook up”

Moments into the short clip, it’s clear that both are well acquainted with the Elvis tune. Elvis does not seem to be someone Zara’s age would be a fan of, but the young lady seems to know Elvis’ work. Zara and her father nail the beloved song without missing a single word, phrase or syllable. Their timing is impeccable!

However, their timing is one of many noteworthy aspects of their latest video. They also seem to know Elvis himself well. Ben and Zara move around and dance similarly, imitating Elvis’ mannerisms. Zara even has Elvis’ famous lip curl down, demonstrating that well-known move in the clip's opening seconds. 

Ben and Zara cover various artists and genres with their short videos. Who they decide to cover next is anybody’s guess.

Robert Irwin joined the father-daughter duo Ben and Zara for an unforgettable and hilarious lip-sync video to “Africa” by Toto.

The 1980s was a decade that supplied with plenty of great music. Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Van Halen and Madonna all topped the charts in those years, producing one classic song after another. The hair was big, but the songs were bigger and better in the 80s.

A lot of those songs have since gone on to become memorable, timeless tunes. But there aren’t many songs from the 1980s that are as instantly recognizable as Toto’s hit from 1982, “Africa.” Everyone immediately knows what song has started from the song's opening moments. It’s unmistakable, and you can’t help but sing along to that chorus!

In a video posted on social media, Ben and Zara selected the Toto hit as their latest song to lip-sync, but this time, they also got some unexpected help. Seconds into the video, Robert Irwin, the son of the late Steve Irwin, appears after Ben and Zara mock sing one of the song’s lyrics.

From that point forward, he joins the father and daughter team as he demonstrates his fake singing skills.

It’s a hysterically funny clip of all three of them faux singing and dancing along to the beloved hit from Toto. It’s plain to see that all three had a ton of fun creating this short clip.

It’s anyone’s guess what song Ben and Zara will lip-sync to next. Also, apparently, viewers must watch for unexpected guests popping up in their hilarious clips now.

Babies are the cutest. The one in this TikTok video is pretty hilarious. 

The video shows Dad shoring or pretending to snore, we aren’t quite sure. The baby, about 5 months old, is sitting beside his Dad. 

When Dad makes the snoring noise, the baby looks at Dad and moves his arms and legs. You can tell they are pretty excited. Their mouth is open as if in awe of what is happening. In some ways, the baby almost looks like they are trying to run away from the noise.  

Babies are so new to the world, and everything is a wonder. Dad’s snoring is an example of this. And we love the baby’s sweet and innocent reactions.

In today’s world, we can sometimes forget the little things in life. Watching a baby can remind us of what is important and what we need to focus on. Babies can and do make us laugh, especially when they are being so cute. They add so much to our lives, and we can’t help but interact with them.

Children are such a blessing, and it is important always to remember how precious they are. To treasure all the moments as babies will grow up faster than we think they can.

Two beloved cartoon characters, Mickey Mouse and Daisy Duck, had what is likely the most heartwarming and sweetest response ever after spotting a miniature Donald Duck fan at Disneyland.

Most children seem to gravitate toward cartoon characters. Whether it’s because of the bright colors, the odd sounds they usually make, or something to do with the animation, children love cartoons. Kids can sit and watch cartoons for hours, completely captivated as they watch their favorite characters. 

While Disney is known for creating beloved cartoon characters, Walt Disney World and Disneyland offer the chance to interact with those figures. Characters like Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Pooh and Peter Pan become real, hopping off the screen to give a hug or a pat on the back. Knowing that’s a possibility, it’s no wonder children have a huge desire to visit the Walt Disney parks.

In a clip posted on TikTok, one young man received a sweet and magical interaction with a couple of Disney’s most popular characters – Mickey Mouse and Daisy Duck. But it wasn’t anything the young man did that caught Mickey’s attention; it was what the child was wearing that caught the famous mouse’s eye.

The short clip begins with Mickey greeting guests at Disneyland. The beloved cartoon mouse walks down a flight of steps and quickly puts his hands to his mouth. The mouse runs off and it’s unclear what is going on at first. Did Mickey get stage fright? 

No worries! Mickey had just run over to find his old pal Daisy to alert her to the child decked out in Donald Duck gear. Daisy immediately approaches the young man and specifically points out how he is dressed like her main squeeze, Donald Duck. The young man is completely starstruck, unsure how to react to the large duck in front of him.

But that’s not all. Before the clip’s end, the young man meets the one and only Donald Duck! Donald takes the young man by the hand as they head off on a stroll together.

With kids, you never quite know what you are going to get. They can be super unpredictable. This TikTok video is an example of that. 

In this video, we have a mom at her alumni track meet with her three-year-old daughter. You can hear a man say, “Wait for Mama. Wait for her to go, here she comes, get ready run…” encouraging the little girl.

However, as the mom approaches and tries to hand the baton to her, the three-year-old runs away and starts to scream. She wasn’t quite sure what this relay thing was all about. 

Mom eventually hands her the baton, and they run down the track together. 

The captain for the video says, “Ok so the baton handoff needs some work 🤣” and while this is true, it made for a cute video.

Many in the comments had some great things to say about it. One commenter writes, “I love that she didn't care someone was running passed her; she's just happy she's doing it with her daughter.” Another says, “And I’m sure there was a talk in the car before the race about grabbing the baton from mom 😂😂😂😂😩” 

Running a relay with your young child seems like a great way to get them used to how a relay race works, and that exercise can be a lot of fun. Hopefully, this little girl enjoyed herself in the end and wants to run more races with her mom in the future. She is pretty young, so there is definitely hope that she can master the art of grabbing a baton during a race.

The moment country singer Jason Aldean found out about his young daughter having a boyfriend was caught on camera, and his reaction was both sweet and hilarious.

All parents want their children to stay little forever, remaining dependent on mom and dad for as long as possible. Childhood is one of the most precious times in a child’s and a parent’s life. But sadly, it also goes by way too quickly.

Children have a nasty and horrible habit of growing up. Before you know it, that little boy or girl has their driver’s license, graduated high school and is backing out of your driveway for the last time. That’s why Jason’s reaction to learning that his 5-year-old daughter has a boyfriend is so sweet.

The video posted on Instagram begins with the little girl sitting on the couch, announcing her big news. She has a boyfriend, much to her famous father’s dismay. 

Seconds after the youngster mentions that she has a sweetheart, Jason’s questions begin. Like any father, he wants to know as much about this young man as possible.

“You got a boyfriend?” Jason asks off-camera. “Who?”

Once his daughter answers that question, Jason is not done with his interrogation.

“Where did you meet Conway at?” he asks.

But Jason is still not satisfied. 

“How long has this been going on?”

Jason also wants to make sure this young man knows that if he does not treat his daughter right, he has ways of striking fear into Conway.

“Does Conway know that your daddy give him a knuckle sandwich?” He tells the little girl.

However, she responds that her boyfriend will be able to defend himself. He knows karate, of course.

In this video, Jason is every father after a young man has caught their daughter’s eye. They want to make sure the young man is good enough for their daughter. Because no matter how old the girl is, they will always be their father’s little girl.

5-year-old Charlie wanted a Happy Meal. So he called 911 to order one.

When he called he said, “Hi. Is this McDonald’s?” 

The 911 operator replied, “No. This is the Mesa Police Department.” He then asked Charlie, “Do you have an emergency?”

Charlie responded, “Can I get one Mc-Happy Meal?”

The operator asked, “A happy meal?” 

Then Charlie said, “Okay. Bye.” 

“We were completely surprised and a little embarrassed,” Charlie’s mom told the reporter, as most parents would be.

The officer told them they would still need to send an officer out for a welfare check. When the officer arrived though, he had a big surprise for Charlie. He finally got his Happy Meal!

Many in the comments of this YouTube video loved that the officer brought Charlie a Happy Meal. 

“Gosh, I love this!  The fact the officer brought him the happy meal made my heart melt!”

“What an awesome operator and police officer!! Way too often calls like these get shrugged off & I get that it's the emergency line, however it was so sweet and thoughtful of the cop to go out of his way to bring that little boy something to smile about. Way to go Mesa PD!!”

While it isn’t a good thing for a child to be calling 911 for no reason, this is a pretty heartwarming story. Charlie wanted a Happy Meal and felt he could trust calling 911 to get one. Who hasn’t had a food emergency at least once in their life?

I am sure Charlie’s parents had a nice long talk with him about calling 911 like he did. But I also hope he very much enjoyed his Happy Meal. He was so excited to get one.
