Her Experience as a Church Newcomer Is a Must-Hear Reminder for Believers

This woman’s experience as a church newcomer is a must-hear reminder for believers. She shared valuable words and an important lesson for everyone who attends church regularly. Watch the short but powerful clip as this woman shares her experience visiting a church for the first time.

Humans are not meant to live life alone but are designed and created for relationships. It’s through and because of those relationships that people are able to uplift and encourage others when they’ve been knocked down. We can care for one another when we’re sick, and celebrate with each other during life’s happy, joyous moments.

The same goes for a community of believers and church family, which is why belonging to one is so important. We strengthen each other and can uplift and encourage one another when necessary. While church members often have the best intentions, sometimes taking things slow and letting people become comfortable and settle in is a good idea, especially when it comes to people attending a church for the first time.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a woman documented her first time attending church. She shared that she never really attended church while growing up, but decided to go to the church near her home one Sunday morning. She added that going to church often makes her nervous because she feels like she does not belong.

After walking into the church, which was empty at first, she was quickly bombarded by people approaching her.

“There was no one there when I showed up, and then the pastor and everyone started bringing me a Bible, and hugging me, and it was just completely overwhelming,” she said. “So, if you see a new person at church, don’t go up to them immediately. Let them settle in and let them get their bearings because I was so nervous, and the fact that everyone started coming up to me and calling me out was just too much.”

I’m sure the pastor and the congregation meant well, but I can understand how that experience would be overwhelming. Allow people to become comfortable before descending upon them, especially if they are attending your church for the first time.

Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three come together in my name, there I am among them.”

6-Year-Old Says He Saw God During Near-Drowning Experience

A 6-year-old says he saw and heard God during a near-drowning experience. The youngster mentioned what he heard and saw when he almost lost his life. Watch the short but powerful clip to listen to what the young man saw and heard.

Unfortunately, tragedies occur daily; that’s the sad reality of living in a fallen and lost world. However, every parent’s worst nightmare is to lose a child and have to bury them. Such a horrible, awful situation would wreck and destroy every parent, tearing them down both mentally and physically.

That’s why, when one mother saw her 6-year-old son lying lifeless, she began calling out to the Lord, while she and her husband frantically performed lifesaving maneuvers on him. In those moments that must have felt like a lifetime, she wanted nothing more than for her son DJ to regain consciousness and resume breathing.

Thankfully, the little guy eventually spit up water and started breathing again. This youngster’s life was saved, and a family was spared a devastating tragedy. However, while in the hospital recovering, the young man started talking about what he experienced during those scary few moments in which his life hung in the balance.

DJ’s mother, Krista Parker, says her son told the nurse that he had visited heaven. During his time in the heavenly realm, the youngster claims he saw God and received a message from Him and His angels.

In a clip posted on YouTube, DJ says the Lord told him that his time on earth was not up just yet, telling him to “go back.” As far as what the angels said, the little guy made a noise that sounded like the angels were singing during DJ’s time in heaven.

Following his near-drowning and visit to heaven, DJ said he would like to be referred to as “Avir,” which in Hebrew means “air.” The young man explains his request by saying it’s because he “was with God in the air.”

Candace Cameron Bure’s Firm Stance Against This Holiday Movie Cliché

Candace Cameron Bure has taken a firm stance against this holiday movie cliché. The actress, writer and director refuses to say this specific, overused line. Watch the short clip to hear what line Candace will not speak on screen and why she refuses.

Television shows and movies are full of clichés. While those familiar ideas, situations and lines we recognize as clichés were, at one time, original and cutting edge, they are now nothing more than just lazy writing. In nearly everything that comes out of Hollywood, you and I could easily pick out a dozen of them and probably much more than that.

While every film and television program uses clichés in some form or fashion, one genre arguably relies on them more than any other: Christmas movies. Even though many people say they hate clichés, when it comes to Christmas movies, we are likely to let them slide, especially if it’s a movie we love and watch every year.

However, in a clip posted on YouTube, Candace mentioned a cliché line that she will not say in any holiday movie. It’s one that we have all heard hundreds, likely even thousands of times.

“Pretty early on after saying them a couple of times, I was like, ‘Here’s some things I’m not going to say anymore in my Christmas movies,” she said. “And one of them that’s always been a really big theme in Christmas movies is to ‘follow your heart.’ The Bible says that the heart is wicked and deceitful above all things – that’s Jeremiah 17:9. So, we’re actually not to follow our heart but to follow the wisdom that God gives us.”

Later in the clip, Candace shared how she handles that situation when she spots that line in a script.

“So, there’s things like that where I will look at the Christmas movies and say, ‘Hey, what’s a different type of line I can say that would point to what we should be looking at: God. And maybe it’s a direct way of saying it, or maybe it’s just in a different type of conversation.’ But I don’t ever want to lead someone in something I know is deceitful.”

Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”

Officer Arrives Just in Time to Rescue Choking 2-Year-Old

An officer arrived just in time to rescue a choking 2-year-old. The officer was in the right place at the right time and saved the young man’s life. Watch the short but powerful clip to see and hear about the officer’s lifesaving move.

Today, heroes are few and far between. Despite what some people may believe, those on television, in the movies, in the Oval Office or in Congress are not heroes. Even though they may say and claim otherwise, those individuals are, for the most part, motivated by selfish ambition.

Selfish ambition, money or fame are not motivating factors for heroes. They do not think of themselves or their well-being when they act. Instead, they are concerned about others. Heroes will and do act with little to no concern for their safety and well-being, often putting their lives on the line for strangers. A clip posted on YouTube captured the actions of an officer who happened to be at the right place at just the right time.

An officer was pulling into a gas station to fill up his vehicle when he spotted a commotion. Several people had gathered, crowding around for some reason. It turned out that a young man, a 2-year-old, was choking on a piece of a hot dog that had gotten lodged in his throat. No one could get it out, and that’s when the officer stepped up and acted. He worked frantically, pounding on the young’s back, hoping to free the piece of meat from the child’s throat.

Eventually, the officer performed the Heimlich maneuver, which was successful. The hot dog was removed, and the child was able to start breathing once again.

While the officer should be rightfully recognized for his lifesaving, heroic act, he put the spotlight back on the child, calling the young man “brave.”

“He was brave, to be honest with you,” the officer said. “That was probably one of the bravest kids that I’ve encountered.”

2 Timothy 2:15 “Let it be your care to get the approval of God, as a workman who has no cause for shame, giving the true word in the right way.”

Whether you’re facing rejection, insecurity, or just a difficult season, let this be your reminder: You are deeply seen. You are endlessly valued. You are truly cherished.

Reporter On Live TV Drops Everything to Help During Emergency

A reporter on live TV dropped everything to help during an emergency. The young man was on air when he unexpectedly disappeared to rush over and assist someone in need. Watch the short clip to see the moment and to learn what happened that caused the reporter to rush to the scene.

Everyone is familiar with local television news broadcasts. Decades ago, they were the best and, besides a newspaper, one of the only sources of information. In those years, people would huddle around the television just as the broadcast was starting, not wanting to miss a second of the news and information being dispensed by the anchors.

Now, the internet exists, where information is available in real time, and waiting for a television news broadcast is unnecessary. They will just tell you information that’s been on the internet for three or four hours, anyway, right? Regardless, there are still people, for some reason, who watch local and national television news broadcasts. Well, those watching a Chicago station’s broadcast didn’t get just information easily found on the internet, but witnessed something completely unexpected.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a reporter is live on air giving his report when he runs off camera in the middle of it, making for an awkward situation. He can be heard saying, “Oh shoot,” before he sets down his microphone and disappears.

So, what happened? Well, it turns out the reporter was concerned about someone who was involved in a horrific accident and ran over to check on them.

Later in the broadcast, the reporter returns and explains that a runner and a cyclist collided, sending the cyclist over their bike and onto the ground. The cyclist hit the ground so hard that their helmet broke. The cyclist was said to be up and moving around following the incident.

While his unexpected exit may have made for an awkward few moments, the reporter’s concern and assistance during that emergency are admirable, and something we could use more of in this world.

Philippians 2:4 “Not looking everyone to his private good, but keeping in mind the things of others.”

Kindhearted Mailman Comforts Woman During Difficult Moment

A kindhearted mailman comforted a woman during some difficult moments. The government worker showed her some unexpected kindness and love following a loss. Watch the short but powerful clip to see how the mailman comforted her during a heartbreaking situation.

We are often blessed in life with happy and joyous occasions worth celebrating and remembering. However, not every moment will make you want to jump for joy. Unfortunately, loss is a part of life. It’s an aspect that no one enjoys, but sadly, it’s inevitable, as is the hurt, heartache and sorrow that often accompany a loss.

For those who have experienced those deep, dark valleys, it’s one of the worst experiences imaginable—nothing to wish on your worst enemy. But even when we are hurting and in despair, the Lord is still in control and offers comfort and healing. He remains faithful and loving, never leaving our side as He walks through those deep, dark valleys with us.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a mailman is a beautiful, shining example of the type of love and comfort the Lord provides during our times of sorrow and despair. Sitting on her steps as the mailman approached, the woman had recently lost her beloved pet. The mailman was delivering her the animal’s ashes.

However, instead of simply handing her the package and continuing his route, he sits beside her.  He did not want to leave her while she was hurting and distraught. Soon after sitting down, the woman, overcome with emotion, leaned over and hugged the kind and loving mailman.
While the man did not say a word, what he did meant the world to that woman in her time of immense grief and pain.

“Thank you so much,” the woman says through tears and sniffles.

What a beautiful example of kindness, gentleness and love when someone needed it the most.

Psalm 23:4 “Yes, though I go through the valley of deep shade, I will have no fear of evil; for you are with me, your rod and your support are my comfort.”

Rebecca St. James and Husband Open Up About Marriage, Patience and God’s Faithfulness

Rebecca St. James and her husband opened up about marriage, patience and God’s faithfulness. The Christian music artist shared how she believed for the longest time that she would never find someone to marry and how she eventually had to give that fear and struggle to God. Watch the short but powerful interview to hear Rebecca and her husband discuss their marriage and learning to rely on God and His faithfulness.

No one wants to live life by themselves. How lonely and miserable an existence would that be? Human beings are not made to be islands but are instead designed for relationships with one another. Through these interactions, these relationships, human beings help, uplift, encourage and celebrate one another. Relationships make life a much fuller and richer experience.

That’s precisely God’s design and intention for a marriage relationship. When one is down, the other is there to uplift and encourage. The other can provide healing and comfort when one is sick and suffering. Both are made better because of the other. A marriage relationship, when God is kept at the center of it, is one of life’s most incredible experiences.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Rebecca mentions how she didn’t believe she would ever get married. For the longest time, she felt God had someone specifically for her, but she started to lose hope when that person never materialized in her life. She eventually came to the point where she had to surrender that fear and worry to God.

Cubbie Fink, Rebecca’s eventual husband, was in a similar position. He started to lose hope that the person God had chosen for him was not out there. Nearing this point of throwing in the towel on love and marriage, Cubbie and Rebecca met in Los Angeles and immediately hit it off.

After falling in love and getting married, Rebecca and Cubbie encountered heartbreaking challenges regarding having children. Rebecca shared that she had experienced two miscarriages. Around this time, Cubbie also lost his job, and his mother became sick.

However, through it all, Rebecca and Cubbie put their faith and trust in God, and learned that even during those painful and heartbreaking moments, God was still at work.

“And so, learning how to trust God in the middle of that pain, learning how to pursue each other when we both felt equally low, and equally in the pain, and in the winter,” she said. “And just learning to trust that God would redeem and He would restore, and He would be faithful. I think that there was so much richness and good in the winter, but when you’re in it, it’s hard to see.”

Hebrews 10:23 “Let us keep the witness of our hope strong and unshaking, for he is true who has given his word.”
